That pizza scene is from Uncle Buck
AhâŚOK.
Predictions for anywhere from 9 to 15 inches for Greater Cincinnati.
My dad is coming back a cruise and flew from St. Maarten to Charlotte, landed there at 8:30 and is flying to Cincinnati in a few minutes, scheduled to land at 11:58 p.m.
If he pulls it off he has a huge horseshoe up his ass in terms of timing. I was expecting him to be stranded for days.
Getting some sleep within the next 30-45 minutes.
Batteries charged on snow blower.
Looking to make a killing Sunday. Charging $179 per driveway. Already have 50 driveways lined up!
YES! Itâs a joke!
Near a foot in Kettering. I dug out 4 sidewalks and 2 two-car driveways in an hour. Time for donuts and hot chocolate with marshmallows

AhemâŚâŚgiggity
Roads are still icy this morning as far as here in the Wilmington NC area.
We left Oxford at noon yesterday. So 11am St. Louis time. We were going to stay and leave Sunday but due to the path of the storms we changed our plans. Just west of Indy we hit snow, blowing snow you could barely see through. Drove through that the rest of the way back to St. Louis. When we got to the main street we take off the innerbelt to our subdivision, at about 530pm CT, not one car on the street. All businesses closed. The area got between 7-9 inches. Just got off the phone with Celia, snow still coming down hard in Oxford and very cold. She went outside and the snow is above her knees. Rec center which was supposed to be open is closed, much to her consternation. I told her to keep her ass inside. Yes, those were my exact words. Sounds like many students are not back yet. Although we saw quite a few yesterday trying to move back in, clearly not all back from break. I know some of her friends havenât made it back yet.
I was wondering how the drive back was. That sounds harrowing. Hope the WBB made it back from Muncie safely.
My neighbor texted me and asked if I minded if he used his cab enclosed SUV to plow my driveway. I didnât mind. We have multiple inches of snow and high wind. Itâs good to have friends.
Looks like a weird asymmetrical color Rorschach test.
Mother Nature flipping an upside down bird?
This reminds me of a Laura Jane Grace song I canât really post on here
Iâve to a battery powered weed eater, but that about all of my lawn tools Iâd ever think of not using gas powered items
Hand shoveled about 10 inches today. Just love the snowplow trucks. They take so much joy in building up the snow at the start of the driveway.
The snow has stopped. I assume we got around 8-12 inches (snow, that is).
I used the RYOBI snow blower at 11 am and 5 pm. The initial use was a bit of a struggle. The batteries lasted about 75 minutes and the driveway and some of the sidewalk were completed.
The second time out was just cleaning up an additional 3 or 4 inches and was a breeze.
If we regularly received huge snowfalls, the two-stage would be the best option. Unless that changes, I think the 1-stage will work out.
One final thing - I was somewhat âexcitedâ to use the new snow blower in a heavier snow (depth, not weight). I got over that quickly. It was not fun at all.
I have a small electric (corded) snowblower I like - Ryobi. Width 12â, height 10â. Similar size and weight as a vacuum. About all I need for a handful of snows in Cinti. Had a rechargeable battery snowblower years ago, but charge wouldnât last long enough to finish the driveway.
Took care of ~11â earlier. Will clean the rest in the morning.
