Nice gesture by the Brewers. https://x.com/adammccalvy/status/1972432754701902255?s=46&t=F-WLIxbyYlhHo-puMzmVzw

Side note, Elly’s English is so good. His pronunciation is greatly improved compared to last year.
Brewers have always been a classy organization, with the exception of one player years ago. (Ryan Braun)
Prediction: Cards fire Oliver Marmol and replace him with Yadier Molina. Another prediction: while I have typed this, 3 more cars were broken into in front of Busch Stadium.
Bleacher Report ranked the lineups of the 12 teams in the playoffs. The Reds are #12. Here is the report:

Go-To Starting Lineup
1. CF TJ Friedl
2. RF Noelvi Marte
3. LF Gavin Lux
4. DH Miguel Andújar
5. SS Elly De La Cruz
6. 1B Spencer Steer
7. C Tyler Stephenson
8. 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes
9. 2B Matt McLain
Bench: C Jose Trevino, IF Sal Stewart, IF Santiago Espinal, OF Austin Hays
Notes
-The health of Austin Hays is a major question for the Reds in October after he dealt with back spasms down the stretch. He hit .319/.400/.549 in 105 plate appearances against lefties this year, and the Dodgers will have southpaw Blake Snell on the mound for one of the Wild Card Round games.
-Rookie Sal Stewart made his MLB debut on Sept. 1 after a strong season in the upper levels of the minors. And after hitting .255 with an .838 OPS and five home runs in September, he has a chance to be an X-factor if manager Terry Francona gives him a shot.
More Reds, the stats:
The Reds are 83-79, which is bad but not unprecedented. Here’s what’s wild, via OptaSTATS:
➤ No qualified Red hit .270 this year
➤ No Red hit 25 HRs this year
➤ No Red won 15 games this year
➤ No Red K’d 200 batters this year
However, what the person putting these stats together didn’t include is an outstanding rotation of Greene, Abbott, Lodolo. And Singer and Littell aren’t far behind.
Happy I was 100 % wrong about the REDS. Season is a success no matter what happens in LA
Playoffs is playoffs!
Chase Burns may end up being better than Greene.
Shock the world, Reds!!!
I would expect if we see Chase Burns in the playoffs it is out of the bullpen.
Agreed, no chance he starts. He’s limited to 2 innings, 3 max. Probably only makes 1 appearance even if it goes 3 games.
Close game so far.
Hope REDS can win 1 game . no playoff wins since the epic chock in 2012.
Hunter Greene was far from an ace last night. Snell was outstanding. Shohei set the tone. Reds did show they can hit the Dodgers bullpen. But this series may end tonight.
I forgot this is a best of 3.
Really?!
What about the Yankees-Sox series?!? Might it end tonight?
Reds season probably ended in the top of the 6th where with bases loaded and no outs they couldn’t get one damn run.
Nope. Yanks, Yanks kept their season alive.
