The Reds

The Dbacks also lost, otherwise the Reds would have been in 5th place in the wild-card standings. There’s still a chance, but it seems like the Reds are always eliminated at the hands of the Brewers. It’s tough to need wins in bunches playing against the best team in baseball. The hope is they want their starters to have a full week of rest and recovery before their series starts.

Reds win the finale with the Pirates 2-1, with an outstanding 6/1 innings from Nick Lodolo, no runs 12 strikeouts, but he may have injured himself in the 6th. The Reds now have to hope the Mets and Diamondbacks lose. Reds will end the year with 3 games against the Brewers.

Teams I hate in no particular order:

  1. The Washington Generals. Lazy.
  2. The A’s. Did Oakland dirty.
  3. The Thunder. Did Seattle dirty.
  4. The Brewers. Anyone but them already.

I will be at the Brewers-Reds game on Saturday night. I hope I see the game that puts Cincy in the playoffs!

This was not just a game saving catch, and one of the best catches by a outfielder this year, but likely saved the Reds playoff chances as well. Just pencil Marte into the lineup for next year in RF.

The “cockroaches” won’t die. Once again controlling their destiny.

Sweet! We beat the BM’s! (And yes, that’s how it goes because people read left to right and the B is before the M in their logo. Dummies.

Better win tomorrow because Sunday the Reds face Peralta.

Magic number is 2 so a win and a Met’s loss today = Clinchmas! Met’s play at 4:10.

Crazy to think that after all the ups and downs of this season they are in control with 2 games to play. National TV tonight, let’s go boys!

Mets win today so in order for the Reds to control their own destiny on the final day of the season, they NEED a win today.

Reds win!

Hats off to having a better manager. We didn’t hit the 85 regular season wins but came close. This is an unexpected gift. Dick is celebrating somewhere.

Prior to the season I predicted 83 wins, so I got that part right. But I never would’ve thought that would be good enough for a playoff spot.

My burning question… Will the team vote any playoff shares to Jeimer Candelario? :joy:
