Reds 2026

Just absolutely brutal loss today.

Yeah and not far ā€œbehindā€ is Suarez at .208 and McLain at .200 even. Just brutal.

Cardinals fan, that was a unique 9th inning. Woke up my cat with the dropped Weatherholt pop fly.

Btw, a few weeks ago I’d give the ROTY to JJ since defense and positional value matter. Lately I’d give Stewart an edge since it’s a lot closer, and in a tie I’d give it to someone with a better bat.

Excellence continues

We should just be glad there’s still ownership willing to keep a team in Cincy.

Glad I stopped caring about this SHIT team decades ago.

These must be cathartic posts.

For someone to post 12 times in a season thread for a team that they allegedly don’t care about and 8 of those posts to tell us how he doesn’t care about said team and hasn’t for decades tells me the opposite might be true.

This organization is a fucking joke. I am a lifetime Reds fan and have remained so even though living in St. Louis since 1987.

Perused Reds stats today. One really stuck w me as it’s almost inconceivable.

Hayes has 223 at bats and has driven in…..wait for it…..a total of 9 RBI’s ALL SEASON! Could that be an all time record for ineptitude for driving in runs over that many at bats in a season? And oh, he is hitting .143.

Of course he has company on the Reds with McLain still under .200 and Suarez at .208. Ugh.

Don’t forget now DFA’d Friedl who hit under .200 all year.

Terrible front office. Last year was fools gold and we weren’t even all that good.

Yeah I probably should have mentioned him (Freidl) as well, Blues, except he’s off the roster now.

Also, both McLain and Suarez have over 400 at bats. Add that to TJ and Hayes’ totals, and you have a whole lotta substandard hitting! No way a team can win a that many regulars who can’t get on base.

But seriously, 9 RBI’s in 143 plate appearances? It seems almost impossible to be that bad.

Don’t forget they also DFA’d CES, who had a minor league option remaining. He currently has a .835 OPS in 208 PA with the Orioles.

The Reds’ woes get long-form treatment in The Athletic today.

ā€˜Why aren’t we the Brewers?’ How the Reds remain in limbo while other small-market clubs succeed

This franchise wasted Votto’s entire career.

I’m not expecting anything positive. Elly will be electric in another uniform someday

After reading the Athletic Article do we as fans blame the front office for not being able to sell the owner on the proper way to run the club or blame the owner who is limiting the front office’s ability to field a successful team? Krall has made some bad choices for sure but he’s also been put in situation with little likelihood of success.

The fact that every year Bob asks how teams like the Brewers & Rays are doing it, is presented with their blue print and then disregards everything he just heard is mind numbing.

They make money whether the team wins or loses, right? Takes away incentive.

Hey, somebody’s got to be the worst owner in baseball now that Arte Moreno sold the Angels. Right, @thechuck_2112?
