Something about this game has me optimistic beyond logic (the opposite of my usual internal fan doom and gloom) and Brett yapping has me even more pumped. Just feels like this is a game we can win. Can’t wait to be there.

I watched the condensed version of last year’s MTSU win over Miami. The Blue Raiders basically kicked their butts. MTSU used a lot of up-tempo offense. They forced three Miami turnovers in the Hurricanes first 7 plays - one a pick 6, leading to a 10-0 early lead. The Raiders had an answer to almost every Miami score. They burned Miami over the top at least three times for long gains that resulted in TDs. They hit a 98 yard fourth quarter TD bomb. On ST they almost blocked a punt at the Miami 20 yard line but gave up a TD on the kickoff filling the 98 yard TD bomb.
I didn’t see MTSU throw a single fade.
So, we’ve got ‘em right where we want ‘em!

Sounds like Hurricane Idalia is expected to reach land here in the next 24 hours or so. Doesn’t look like it’s going to impact Miami that much, but perhaps it could make traveling down there a bit tougher.

Definitely messing with me. I’m outbound from Wilmington NC on Avelo to West Palm Beach mid-morning on Thursday. Idalia is supposed to be just offshore from us right about then. Avelo only has one flight a day. Might get pushed to the mid-morning Friday flight to FLL if the airport here closes. It’s wait and see right now. Hoping for a lightning free evening at Hard Rock. Lightning delay games are a pain in the butt.

My flight out of Denver this evening (wed am) at 1am is still on time. Guessing we will have to alter the route a bit to go around the hurricane. Fingers crossed!
