I agree. I know Kopp is old news now, but if he was apart of this group of transfers, we would all be very happy to get him. And I think Gotkowski* is going to be good.

Just saw that Matthew Sluka from Holy Cross is in the portal. There’s growing buzz for Bob Chesney to replace Cignetti at JMU, and he’d presumably follow him, but he’d be an under the radar stud pick up if that deal doesn’t end up happening.

I’m happy for Aveon. He was not going to be our starter next year. He’s earned the right to go get his playing time elsewhere and we all owe him a massive debt of gratitude for his time at Miami.

Thanks for the mems AV. Was there for the Northwestern win & in attendance on Saturday. That said, if we was playing with any other defense & ST unit i have to imagine the team would be pretty mid. He is pretty one dimensional. only completed 6 passes on saturday

I read what you said before deleting and I’m not crying anyone a river. I’m only singling you out because you were the last to post. Many others feel the same way.

Brett is still the shortest odds until he decides to hang him up. Then Kopp. However, I don’t think you can discount the possibility of an unknown portal pickup, especially if Brett doesn’t come back.
Disagree. There is no way, save for several injures, that Aveon was coming back as the starter. That’s not meant to diminish Aveon or his accomplishments; it’s just to say that this doesn’t impact next year’s plans at all except maybe as it pertains to a backup.

He played admirably during his time here. Wish the Aviator well. But I also feel he has clear limitations on the field at this point in time
