I have my doubts Gabbert plays QB for Miami again. If he is done playing I would love for Miami to find him a spot on the staff in some capacity.

Yeah, I don’t know. Just speculation. There would be no other reason why Aveon would leave. Who knows? College football rosters are very fluid and unpredictable these days.

Ok great. Play Henry anyways. AV made his choice and that’s fine but let’s see what we have in H squared. I had a dream he won our bowl game a few weeks ago. Henry, prove me right!

Unless they’ve told him his best role is backup QB (irregardless of Gabbert’s status) and Aveon wants to be a starter for a season before using up his eligibility.
I’m ok with AV playing in the bowl game if he wants to. The NCAA calendar forces him to put his name in now before the season is over. I think he has earned the opportunity to finish things out.

AV now showing in the On3 portal page, too. I’m a little surprised at guys with early bowl games left to play jumping in the portal this early. If they intend to play it would seem they would bounce right after the bowl.

Can’t see why Aveon would risk injury and play in the bowl game…also, have mixed feelings about even having him play (if he wanted to) since he has already decided to leave.
And get a graduate degree for free too? If he was recognized as a senior this year, I guess he earned his degree already?

If we lose Aveon and Gabbert’s return is questionable/doubtful, we need to go get someone in the portal.

We will be fine. As of 30 minutes ago 40 QBs had entered the portal just today, and that is just FBS QBs. And for the person who wants Thor (assuming you mean the kid from Harvard), he is visiting Louisville today or tomorrow.
