I think Michigan told us - maybe 30 years ago -that our block M was essentially a knock-off of their brand. Lawyers were involved and our M then transitioned to the current “beveled M”

The old block M is ok, but Maryland’s is a knockoff of ours, not the other way around.

Maryland has their medieval flag underneath it. All the transplanted Marylanders near me confuse the Miami M for theirs.
I wasn’t aware of that. I know that our block M changed a number of times in size and serifs prior to being switched to the new one

Went to Elder HS.
I was told that by someone in the Alumni office I used to coordinate with when I was a chapter coordinator.
Everybody had a block M back in the day. And then the lawyers got involved and everybody patented their own unique font.

You have to ask what the transfer portal stuff with Graham was about to begin with?
Did he find out quickly that the grass was not greener when looking around?
Did someone doing NIL for Miami arrange for a Graham Cracker endorsement deal for him to stay?
Whatever the reason love that he is coming back!
