Pittsburgh Steelers 2022

Well whatever happens, the last 2 games proved to be an appropriate ending to Ben’s final regular season.

I won’t remember going to Kansas City and losing by 30 next week… but I will remember this…

I guess the old gunslinger was not quite ready to ride off into the sunset yet.

Honestly, it would make sense for both sides to do that exact thing.

I’m feeling a little dirty rooting for the Raiders to hold this lead.

Never a doubt!!!

Well that’s one way to end a sport’s regular season.

Can’t wait to hear Staley’s explanation for the TO. The clock would have run out.

He said he wanted to get different personnel on the field, which makes sense if the thought was try to keep them out of FG range and get the tie. If you’re the Chargers, you don’t know what the Raiders are going to do, and they couldn’t just bank on Raiders running clock out.

It didn’t work obviously, but that thinking made sense at the time.

Read on ESPN online today that Chargers didn’t have best run game personnel in the game and switched a couple players out.

I think the Raiders were going to try to score no matter what. The win got them the Bengals instead of the Chiefs. They were in pretty much risk-free zone by running one play up the middle and then kicking at the last second.

From the horse’s mouth:

Sloman released again

Yeah, granted they were in either way but there was incentive to try to win rather than settling (and having to play at KC).

I assume Steelers will get creamed by KC but sure hope the Pitt O line can give Ben a little time to throw and shine in what may be his last NFL game.

Harris is back and change at center may help a little.

By a change at center I assume you mean Green can stay on the bench until next year.

Steelers have to get the running game going against KC to have a chance. Keep Mahomes off the field and shorten the game. The designed runs for Claypool can be effective too. They won’t be able to win scoring 16 points again, but if they can get to 24 somehow, they have a chance. Watt was pretty banged up the last time they played, so hopefully this time around he can have more of an impact.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to not see this one ending up something like 34-17 KC.

“By a change at center I assume you mean Green can stay on the bench until next year.”

Right. JC seems a bit more effective, although not the long-term solution. Ben thinks Green would be better moving positions.
