Mario Cristobal does not help his team with his coaching…
I wasn’t surprised by the SMU result. SMU won their conference and got rewarded with a 10am CT kick in Fenway against future ACC opponent Boston College.
The more I watch the other games, the more I’m disappointed in where Miami was slotted in the bowls this year. Such an early game. This, to me, seems to be the week that people start paying more attention to the bowl games. And maybe the weather at that Cure Bowl is clouding my judgement, but that Barstool Bowl that a lot of people were against sounds pretty good to me right now.
With the way some of these bowl results are panning out, I am wondering if we may have had a shot at top 25 if we had managed to win our bowl game. What a crappy break we got, playing in a monsoon w a couple of inexperienced QB’s that were not running threats.
Setting aside any FSU/Bama debate, I think Miami and SMU were the two teams most screwed this year. Won their conferences and got sent to meh locations in bad weather against non-champ opponents.
At least we had Orlando for tourism purposes. I’m sure all SMU fans were thrilled to get the chance to walk the freedom trail in the cold and rain while killing time in Boston.
Agree MAC Champs deserved a better bowl, NOT 1 of the early bowls.
The weather for the Cure Bowl was a very rare happening for December.
Meh location? Orlando is a pretty good bowl location. I thought Tuscon would be fun too but too many people in this board didnt like the Barstool website apparently
Orlando just seems meh to me because it’s already such a huge tourist thing. Part of the fun of bowl games (at least it seems to me) is going warm places you might not go otherwise.
I had high hopes when I read the winning team would eat the PopTarts mascot. In execution, it was corny. And wtf was he dancing to Creed for. Where does the CMO park their time machine?
They weren’t passing threats either.
The UK/Clemson game today was one of the more entertaining bowls. Also proves that you don’t crow until the game’s over. Lot of chirping from UK up until about the 7 minutes mark of the 4th quarter. Clemson scored 28 in the in the quarter. Crazy.
So true, Blues.
Brown hobbling for OSU. 3-0.
OSU finding out how fun it is to play your third string QB… it’s a deja vu of our game without the rain
Indeed.
True freshman.
We would’ve moved the ball better with Hesson in neutral weather than OSU is doing now. Nevertheless, hope no one took the over.
A shame Aveon didn’t play before he moved to FCS…we would’ve won if he played.
Totally disappointed in that, and it shoulda been brown sugar cinnamon.
While the mascot’s antics were pretty great, NC State’s Ripken the Batdog, err, tee retrieving dog, was the star of that bowl! Loudest cheers were for him, lol.
Of course they were! Dog had less concept but more authenticity. That poptart thing could have been great. Lazy ass execution. I would have picked the theme song from the tv show Greatest American Hero. They chose Creed. Wow.
