Liberty scores and forces a FIU lost fumble on 3rd and 2 in OT. 31-24 Final. Liberty still undefeated.

Liberty does not meet the eye test. Yes, they could run the table again in CUSA but they would lose multiple games in any other G5 conference. No way that team deserves the playoff spot.

Agree. If they run the table all it would be is confirmation of how weak CUSA is. Compare how Boise State fared at Oregon earlier this season to Liberty’s performance in last year’s NY6 bowl game.

Watching some fun CUSA games with lots of offense – La tech (where head coach relinquished playcalling) and WKY. A lot up tempo and innovative play designs.

I’m curious as to how Bob Chesney has managed to accelerate the JMU offense in his first year in Harrisonburg - coming straight out of FCS Holy Cross.
Curt Cignetti took his whole coaching staff with him to Indiana after last year’s 11-1 season at JMU. He also took 10 of his most promising players. Last year’s outstanding starting QB transferred to Texas State - another Sun Belt team.
The Dukes brought in Washington back-up Dylan Morris but he’s the current backup at JMU.
The Dukes are 5-1. They put up 70 at North Carolina, 63 against Ball State and 39 against 4-1 Coastal. They’re playing decent defense, too.
In the 11th year of the CM program Miami struggles to consistently score 19 points a game against MAC completion.
What’s the difference between Miami’s offensive philosophy and that of recent FBS program JMU?

"Chesney will receive a base salary of $550,000 per year. In addition, he will receive a fundraising and retention bonus every year on Jan. 31 starting in 2025.
The fundraising bonus starts at $60,000 and increases to $70,000 in 2027 before capping at $80,000 in 2029. The retention bonus will start at $140,000 and will increase to $150,000 in 2028 and then $160,000 in 2029."
