Biggest win in program history, back in the national rankings, bye week to cure the hangover, sell out your MAC opener, and then you lose to the team that was 10th in the conference preseason poll. Unbelievable egg laying by NIU.

NIU has no excuse. You had the bye week to read all of the articles, watch all of the highlights, and receive all of the pats on the back. Have a massive ego for the off week… then get back work.
Based on what I saw today, Notre Dame isn’t that great. Notre Dame may not even be that good. So that win doesn’t seem as impressive as it looks on paper.
But again, ND not being that good makes today’s loss even more annoying.
