Will Miami have a seating section, similar to the former CCHA tournaments @ the GLI?

Not sure how GLI seating works. I would assume Miami will get an allotment.

Denver just had a kid it was going to hold back a year and the Goofers swooped in and took him.

There’s no reason to wait on these high-end kids anymore. Even if he’s not totally ready this season, how much will he really hurt you playing 12 minutes on the third line?

Ilya Morozov will be in a Miami sweater this fall!!! Big addition for us. He will instantly be one of the top guys on the team if not the most skilled player

Well…he turns 17 in August so it’s going to take time for him to adjust to this level of play. The reason it took this long for it to come out was because Miami was debating whether he needed another year of seasoning in the USHL.

He only went 11-11-22 in 59 games in his first season in North America.

Plus bigger guys especially take longer to develop. Remember Kuraly wasn’t a real offensive threat his first couple seasons.

I’m excited, I think he’s going to be great, but let’s curb expectations for a player who was born three months before Obama won the presidency.

The last line…haunting!

Is a high end kid going to be happy with that kind of playing time? If he’s not in the role he expects to be in he’s going to leave after a year anyway, seems like a no win situation.

Well at Tri-City he was a bottom 6 forward so it’s not like he’s being knocked down to way less of a role than he had before. One game I watched he was benched for the last third of the game.

Plus I’m not sure if he’d have much different of a role on any other team. If there’s any place to go to with the possibility of earning a top spot it’s probably Miami given the state of our program😅

Once a kid is drafted by the NHL his college coach is expected to give progress updates to that
NHL team.” He’s playing 6 min. Per game” would be bad PR. The NHL team can likely rock the boat one way or another. Just sayin’. He should get decent playing time to develop.why was Kuraly playing a lot of minutes early.? Same scenario. Why did Rico accompany the Roslovic family to the NHL draft? Bingo!
Just say’in.
This should be an exciting season on many levels!

He’s not eligible to get drafted until 2026 so that won’t come up this season, and right or wrong, Rico didn’t have a problem curtailing ice time for other draft picks like Mullin, BIGGS and Vaive.

Morozov also doesn’t need any more pressure, being one of the youngest players in the NCAA. I’m thinking third line to start with a couple of veterans and see what happens.

I forgot about Rico being at the 2015 draft with Roslovic. Kind of funny in retrospect considering how that ended.

is double-digit win total too much to ask for this up coming season?

15 wins and I’ll be happy

All it takes to go D-1 is Middle Eastern food? Get ready for college hockey to explode.

Given that he’s already had his gimme year and is bringing in a top 5 group of new players, he needs to perform this year. Walk the walk: top half of the NCHC and make or barely miss (top 20 pairwise) the NCAA. Anything less is just more of the same excused failure. Is Miami a hockey school or is it just a bottom feeder that had a few good years with a hot young coach? Time to prove the latter and not the former.

The top teams in the NCHC have four classes of stud players. Miami will have one plus some good transfers. I’m expecting this team to be a whole lot better, but top 20 in PairWise is a bit too ambitious.

I’m glad you’re impressed with Noreen’s appearance though.
