Offseason 2025

Good for them. Stonehill was never going to be competitive without a new rink.

I have six transfers, so I guess another one is coming in?

Drives me nuts when interviewers ask questions they could’ve spent five seconds of research on to find the answer. Like the goalie question.

Yeah I wonder who it’ll be…

Nice of him to clear up some of the eligibility questions on the usports/chl guys.

Agreed, I was hearing Drobac might have four years of eligibility.

Good story by TSN…and UND just loaded up, for those who aren’t following.

Giampa will be at Flyers development camp this summer

Does this mean they will add a new assistant coach?

I don’t think so. Looks like staying as a full time assistant with the new role gives more recruiting access according to the replies on this schlossman post

If we get a new assistant it’ll be to fill the position Cisek left

Did a two-part Q&A with readers and broke down the NCAA changes and how they are affecting Miami.

Part I is here:

Excellence, Bonkite. I laughed.

Well written article and I’m smarter about the current landscape for reading it. Much thanks as usual.

Thanks for the great article. Your knowledge far exceeds my own, but your fears as outlined here mirror mine. All-in-all I expect a handful of collegiate teams to load up on talent that may, if successful, choose to stay for the duration of their eligibility. The rest will become feeder schools. There are simply too many kids who have enough talent to play at the NCAA level looking for opportunities to play for championships, and most Div. I teams will struggle to find the financial resources to keep developing players for someone else’s program. As they say regarding sled dog racing: if you ain’t the lead dog the view never changes.

Pretty sure that lead dog quote came from this movie. Convoy. The greatest story ever told. I’m pretty sure every culture on Earth has some version of it be it oral tradition or the like.

Thank you. We really just don’t know so many things at this point, but I fear the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer in this system.

I mentioned Noreen’s take on the 34-game season because I believe he’s going to turn that into a program strength. He’s a fitness nut and absolutely chiseled and he can sell the physical development aspect to aspiring pros.

I also trust that him and his staff will flat-out outwork most coaching staffs to get top players, and it sounds like he’s getting the travel budget to do so.

Haha, thanks. 108 teams means over 2,500 players now eligible to play in the NCAA. Thought that point needed underlining.
