Offseason 2025

Let’s remind ourselves-

Days since last win: 242
Days since last conference win: 529
Winless streak: 26 games and counting
NCHC winless streak: 40 games and counting
Days since last conference sweep: 1,229
Years since we’ve had double digit wins: 6
Years since we finished top 20 in pairwise: 10

And even though we have an improved roster the other NCHC teams also have been loading up this offseason. I’m not saying it can’t happen but I would be pleasantly surprised if we were in the top half of the NCHC. It’s one thing if we were just in last place but we are so deep into last place it’s going to take some work to dig ourselves out of this hole. It’d be crazy to go from losing 40 conference games in a row to hosting a home playoff game in less than a year. I’d be happy with double digit wins but I hope I’m wrong and hawk99’s dreams come true!

Also I think he was referring to Rico as the hot young coach😅

If what it takes is Middle Eastern food, well, Westwood is the center of Tehrangeles. Get ready for a dynasty!

I could go for a group of doners right now. Great late-night food. Love that stuff.

Bonk,
Does Miami have any players expected to be drafted by NHL team this weekend?

Btw,Reilly Smith has re-signed with Las Vegas! Good for him.

Huge loss…

I don’t think a draftee happens this year, but the commit list is so huge I might be overlooking someone.

Morozov is draft-eligible in 2026 and I’m pretty sure he won’t be the only one.

Yeah, that sucks for sure.

“ The new Normal”.

One side of the coin: Oh, woe is us, we just lost a great recruit :frowning:

Other side of the coin: Noreen is recruiting at such a high level that an incoming recruit ended up signing a pro deal in arguably the second most talented hockey league on planet earth.

I view this as a huge positive for the direction we’re heading. Also, just to get ahead of a scenario that’ll be coming down the pike, one-and-dones are not a bad thing so start preparing yourselves for that one.

Hope he doesn’t get drafted for something else while he’s over there. Andy Miele bounced from the KHL the minute the tanks started rolling and he’s not a Russian.

Simanovics invited to Avs dev camp🥲

Ok, I looked at that list at least a handful of times over the past couple of days and somehow I totally missed Simanovics. Got distracted by Makar and Behrens right at the top, I guess…:woman_facepalming:t3::joy:

Not all the rosters are out but for our team next year we have 3 players attending dev camps

Matteo Drobac- Nashville
Matteo Giampa- Philly
Casper Nassen- Boston

Lukashevich and Hay did not appear on the rosters for their respective teams…I’m not sure why

The band needs to bust out some Gary Glitter when Hay scores.

Kuraly back to Boston. Two-year deal.

They posted Mauron’s job two days ago…and there is no posting for an assistant coach. Did his interim job become more permanent?

There’s a contest to name the NCHC tournament trophy. I hear Trophy McTrophface has already been submitted. Don your creative thinking caps and have a go at this.

I suggest the Lurker Cup

Since people refer to this conference as the Nacho, I suggest the Nacho Helmet.
