This got changed in the last two hours. It was showing 100% UConn. Now it’s 53% Ohio 47% UConn.
Freshman TE Jeffrey Simmons has entered the portal. He redshirted last season.
Good basketball player.
Looks like we had 7 TE in the room, at least 4 - possibly 5 - playing ahead of him…only one a senior. Kids who want to play aren’t going to sit for years without doing so - not in the portal environment.

Agree …but keeping a room stocked with them at the G5 level is the modern challenge. The ones that get PT and perform well are jumping in the portal to move up. The high quality prospects who don’t get PT are jumping in the portal and moving laterally or down to FCS - or giving it up altogether.

Yep. I figured he would be going P5 somewhere. I thought maybe Indiana. Ski U Mah is a bit of a surprise.
Can’t knock him for going P5. Had it been Doh U I’d have wondered if he was playing with a full deck

He proves yet again the coaches at MU are doing a good job coaching these kids up. It’s not a great outcome when kids leave but at least they get good looks and land good places.

I was hoping he’d play and after a big win, we’d have a weekly day (Wednesday) to discuss his performance. We’d call it “Hump Day” so it was dedicated to him. But this portal announcement changes all that. Oh well. To Hump Day somewhere else. Best of luck to Joe.
