Looks like seven of our transfer outs haven’t found a landing spot yet. A couple of them are grad transfers who haven’t logged much playing time. Football’s probably over for a few of them.
Maybe they come back like brett
Not sure this was reported but we got Cameron Williams in:
4-star recruit (with speed) which is nice. Has never contributed much since HS. Hopefully the scenery change provides big results.
Interesting site I discovered. Seems fairly accurate and up to date. I saw elsewhere that Austin Robinson will be walking on as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility at his home state UNC.
Interesting. Buffalo with a boatload of JC transfers. I believe us and WMU only schools with no JC transfers. Academically-related I assume.
How are the academics related, Buffalo and Miami similar, UB arguably better…they have a ton of JC/We don’t…
Miami traditionally just does not go this route, less a player or two, with portal even less of need I think for JC route.
- OL, Rusty Feth (Iowa)
- CB, John Saunders Jr. (Ole Miss)
- OL, Caleb Schaeffer (Oklahoma)
- RB, Tyre Shelton (Louisiana Tech)
That speaks highly of Miami’s program I think…time to get more than ~7 wins!
Will be curious to see how they play this fall, but “on paper” Kent State seems to have brought in quite a bit of Power 5 talent.
I was told by some previous Miami coaches that it was difficult to get junior college credits accepted by the administrative offices when I asked about junior college transfers. This goes back to when Charlie was coaching.
They also lost the most star power in the transfer portal.
I believe we do have a JC transfer this year. The Portal Tracker listed on this site would appear to be incomplete- it does not list JC transfer Cameron Williams or transfers Wilkins from ND or Jaylen Williams from USC
Forgot about Cameron. Hope he finds his game.
I believe Cam Williams is coming from Indiana. Although he did previously attend a JC.
I think the other way around, 3 years at Indiana and last year at Garden City. At least that’s how his bio reads.
Rowan Zolman to UCONN.
Maybe he liked Doug Shearer. That is where he is now.
Well he’s been offered by UConn. I haven’t seen anything that he committed there. Also has an offer from Ohio.
on3 three says 100% commit to Huskies
If he is leaving Miami I hope he goes to UCONN, not those asshats in Athens.
