With our system of constantly rotating running backs I’m surprised any of them want to come here.
Yeah we could lose more backs b4 this is over…I would guess Brunson will leave if he can…
I think he’d need to sit a year if he did.
Huh…so there’s a jump in consecutive years rule?
I think you’re allowed a one time transfer without sitting out. My understanding is that subsequent transfers require a sit out year.
Well maybe he will stay but my query remains unanswered: why didn’t he ever play, especially in short down situations.
Only time I saw him was in mop up time vs RMU
So who from Miami is actually in the portall? 24/7 only shows four guys with Gabbert withdrawn.
It shows just Butts and Dorsey…
You should follow the On3 portal. I have found it to be much more up to date.
The entry level stars these players had at Miami don’t add up. I wish this was all standardized.
any guess when they announce the kids that sign tommrow
They start early morning as the signed letters of intent come in. I know one Miami commit on Twitter said he isn’t signing until 3pm. But that might just be ceremony and the real LOI already signed.
Tell that to Spencer Rattler…. Seems like these kids transfer multiple times without sitting. I wish they would make them sit after that second transfer. I have read that it is a rule but it is not being enforced.
It is the rule but I believe there may be an exception for post-grad transfers. That may be the case with JT Daniels. After already attending three different schools I would hope he has found time to obtain a degree.
If anything, he’s probably less likely to have a degree, given how all of the credits probably didn’t carry over with so many transfers.
Yes, but he has had five years to get four years of credits. You are also talking about a D1 football player who transferred from USC to Georgia and WVU. I don’t think they would have been real strict with his transfer credits.
Class? Class? You expect them to attend class?
So the only 2 we’ve lost so far are Ryan O’Hare and John Saunders.
The rest may be lost in the shuffle with the other 3,500 players in the portal they are competing with and find out there is no chair left in this musical chair game.
At what point do SEC and BIG schools quit recruiting High School players and just hit the portal every season for All-Conference MAC and Sun Belt players? Most of these MAC and Sun Belt players would go to a Wisconsin or Florida. Just sift through the 1st Team All-MAC and 1st Team Sun Belt players and say, I’ll take you, and I’ll take you… etc. Yeah, they may only have 1 year of eligibility left but you just hit the portal again next year. I see it coming to that (not that extreme, but like 50/50 HS and G5 players)
I could see that. Let the small schools do their leg work, take the risk on marginal recruits, then steal who you want.
