Miami to play North Texas State

Welcome!

We may have the equalizer…Chuck Martin, Mr. 500 and no OOC or Bowl wins…so you’ll find similar pessimism here…

That being said, Miami easily could have been or should have been an 8-4, 9-3 team…a couple 1 point losses and should have finished Minnesota off.

We generally stop the run, but have been burned up the gut lately…our defense is strong on the edge.

We are hoping to get a Bowl win and another winning season (only second in several years)…two things that have avoided us. I could see the rare possibility that we roll if everything is clicking…that said, that rarely happens, so it should be a great game.

Welcome!

Looks like we might have a bit of a mirror match on our hands. Mediocre coach with a strong defense.

I know a lot of people on our board have mentioned Sorenson as being the go to receiver. Our defense has been boom or bust all season. We give up big plays, but also make big plays

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I’ve seen y’all are favored by 3 so it’s basically a wash. Littrell is also .500 at this point with no bowl wins and a bad record against winning teams so looks like it all comes out to who wants to suck the least

The duo of Sorenson and Hippenhammer (Penn State transfer coming on) are pretty tough to stop.

There is a funny, yet interesting parallel, side story…who can get the ā€˜monkey’ off the back!

It appears to me the actual name for the contest ought to be the Monkey Bowl.

Catchy!

The Frisco Suck The Least Bowl

I like that.

The band is going (and Shakos)

My guess is that Miami’s attendance will be poor since this is Miami’s fan board and I only know of me, Bash and Yanks going

Miami’s website lists a football banquet and pregame event that fans can attend in Frisco- but it doesnt seem like there are bowl activities

Available tickets in section 105 (where I am sitting) looks a lot like when I bought almost a week ago

But we’re the ā€œHomeā€ team, LOL!

Yeah I still don’t completely understand that. I live in Frisco about 5 minutes from the stadium and the majority of our alumni still reside in the DFW area. Doesn’t make any sense

Well hopefully a handful of band parents, some football parents and a lot of local DFW area alums will show up. We did the football banquet at the hotel in Mobile right before the Mardi Gras parade. It was lots of fun!

ā€œwho wants to suck the leastā€

this dude must be a closet MAC fan…i love it

I looked at the ticket website a few days ago. Based on a rough estimate of how many seats were still available in the Miami sections then, I think there will be around 200 Miami fans there. In addition to myself +1, Redsea +1 , JCook32, and YanksAlex, Armand Robinson and Daniel Raudabaugh will be there.

I was hoping to get down there but the wife surprised me with a ā€œsurprise eventā€ in Portland, Maine the exact same day. Debated buying a ticket to support the department and to pretend I’m there in spirit.

That’s atrocious! With 2,000 alumni living within an hour of the stadium!!! That’s essentially you guys and the football team families. No wonder we’re always on the bubble when it comes to selection for any event. We did much better in Mobile and we don’t have any significant population of alums in that area. What the Hell is wrong with us! And what’s wrong with our alums in Texas?

Make sure to party with Raudabaugh

My estimate of 200 is from a couple of days ago. I’m sure come game day we will show 400 strong!!

That’s a strong home team crowd on a cold Tuesday night!

It’s the day before Christmas Eve and we’re not the MAC champ, it doesn’t take much thought to realize there’s not much fan interest or convenience. If we made the Detroit bowl I’m sure we’d have a good showing, but not a random game in December that didn’t exist a few weeks ago.
