Miami men at Kent Tuesday night at 7:00 on ESPN+

Miami is 10-10 ( 4-4). Kent is 10-10 (3-5). Kent is only 5-5 at home where they have usually been dominant. This is Rob Senderoff’s 13th season as head coach and he has had eight 20 win seasons and 6 postseason teams and has won over 60% of his games. While Miami used to dominate Kent, the Flashes have won 6 straight vs Miami. All time we lead 92-52. They have 2 guys averaging 15.5ppg in MAC play. 5-10 JR Jalen Sullinger and 6-5 RS- JR Von Cameron Davis .6-9JR Cli’Ron Hornbeck has been out with injury for awhile which has hurt them. Others who play a lot include 6-1 RS SR Giovanni Santiago, 6-7 GS Chris Payton, 6-3 soph transfer from CMU Reggie Bass, and 6-5 GS Tyem Freeman, a good 3 point shooter.

This is a big stretch for us. For years the dominant MAC programs have been Akron, Kent, Toledo, and Ohio. We are playing 3 of those teams in a row, but we are much stronger now with Ipsaro and Morris back and looking good. Time to make a statement.

I know there was speculation Morgan was on their roster but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Just looked.

Play the hits:

Rob Senderoff is a dumpy loser.

We’re 7.5 point dogs, just as we were against Akron. I know Kent is down this year, but it’s always tough to win up there.

As goes Sullinger, so goes Kent. Got to slow him down.

He may be playing tonight.

Not starting anyway:

Nice start! 7-0

16-8 Miami at the first media TO. Very up tempo by both teams, we have been shooting well. Elmer has played great.

Morris dressed?

Yes he is in right now

Dean back this game. Mabrey out.

22-11 Miami with 11 minutes to go. Bradley Dean is in and just threw a beautiful pass on a fastbreak. Kent has hit 3 threes, otherwise missing and turning it over. Very fast pace.

Miami playing great D!

31-16 at the TO. Really doing a nice job on the defensive boards.

31 to 16 at the 8 and under TO. Bultman 4 for 4 from the floor. This is the type of pace and game that a team could get down 25 and come back and win, which we did against Kent in Oxford several years ago. So far Kent’s ballhandling has been shaky.

Team is getting better, just look more comfortable out there.

This team is definitely born again hard.

Kent really sloppy with the ball, our defense is ok, but Kent seems unhinged?
