Kent shooting 19%. Glad he took Anderson out. Really forcing his offense and not playing within the system. Our O has cooled.
33-16 after the 4 and under TO. WE beat them 2-0 in that last 4 minute segment, as the quality of offense fell off the table for both teams. Dean shows no signs of rust, playing well.

39-24 at the half. In the last 8 minutes we scored 6 points and hit no outside shots. So our offense is not getting the shots we were early and we have not had any fastbreaks in the second part of the half.
Fun fact- over the last two games, Miami has allowed a combined ONE 1st half 2-point FG.

Offense sometimes reminds me of the CC weave where we don’t look to the basket, just pass it around the perimeter and then force a shot near the end of the shot clock. Love CC, don’t mind being patient and making the defense work, but the defense needs to fear you are going to shoot or drive. There needs to be some threat to score as you move the ball around.
We played 9, but Mabrey did not play, wonder why. Potter and Elmer with 2 fouls each. Elmer with 10, Hunter 9, and Bultman 8. Kent is 6 for 19 on threes, they are bombing up basically one per minute. Notably, their top 2 scorers, Davis and Sullenger are 2 for 14 from the floor. Give some or a lot of credit to Elmer and Cooper for shutting them down.
I wonder how many of the international students are at their 1st Kent basketball game? Seems like a good crowd development concept?

Miami O is awful First 4 minutes second half.
41 to 27 at the 16 and under TO. Our offense is struggling . Ipsaro is not playing much or doing much when he played in the first half. Wonder is he is a bit under the weather. Elmer picked up a quick 3rd foul and sat down.

44-35 as Kent hits a few and our offense is still sucking. TO Miami with 13 minutes to go. All of a sudden Sullenger seems wide open. Better get Cooper back in to guard him.
There was our predictable three bad minute stretch. Fortunately we’ve still got a 9 point lead.

48 to 37 with 12 minutes to go. Fouls are Miami 6, Kent 1. That does not bode well. Looks like we tried to go inside since we called a TO. That looks a little better.
