That was my impression.
I suppose the money would be good but Iām not sure weāre ready to go toe to toe with Oregon, Florida State, Michigan, Texas or Alabama right now. Might be like the dog that caught the car.
More like the dog that caught the semi truck.
Letās not overlook Ball State! I think this will be a tough game!
Agree. Itās a potential slippery slope. Need to prepare for 60 minutes of Cardinal Hell.
Weāre not, and we wonāt be. But screw it. Just to get the acknowledgment that weāre in the same league and to be in a big time bowl game against the UM-OSU loser would be the best thing that has happened in a generation to our program. And hell, weād at least have a puncherās chance in the game. Plus, if itās Michigan their sideline sign guru would not have been scouting us in advance, so weād have a fighting chance.
Eh, maybe the car swerves to miss the dog and ends up blowing a tire.
It would be cool to have some eyes on us against either OSU or Michigan, but we wouldnāt have a puncherās, or any, chance against them.
UM has not looked good at all without their sign stealer on the sideline. Their QB has gone from Vegasā Heisman frontrunner to looking like steaming garbage. Iād take our chances.
That would be the game Aveon somehow ends up throwing for 6 TDs and 500+ yards.
I think we can beat Michigan! Hawk99 is MY GUY!
It could turn out like Georgia VS TCU. That would not enhance our image in the slightest. A game with Iowa - with the two defenses and our ST - could end up 9-6. Maybe the Hawkeyes win the B1GC.
Not much has been said on here about this, but our AD, David Saylor, is in his first year ( it is a 3 or 4 year job ?) on the College football playoff committee. I did talk to him about this before our last two wins. He said that in addition to the top 25 rankings, they also do a rating of possible New Years Day selection for the top G5 team. At that time Toledo was top 4 and Miami 8th. As I said, since then we have won two games and some of the teams above us have suffered losses. Beating Ball State and Toledo would likely get us into the AP top 25 since UT is now in the top 25, but it still seems like a huge longshot for us to jump to #1 of all the G5 teams.
Bama isnāt even in position to make the playoff right now. So heās not that clever.
And that must mean weāre waaaay better than Bama, since we smacked around OU in their own stadium. Silly Bobcats, trying to be relevant in late November.
Bama might be just two wins away from the CFB if they win their next two.if not, theyāre surely a NY6 selection - possibly in the Fiesta vs Washington.
This weekās CBS 133 has Miami at #41 - 10th in the G5. 36 P5 teams ranked lower than Miami. Thatās our best showing since at least 2010 and possibly since 2003 or 2004.
USA Today 1-133 this week has Toledo at 23 and Miami at 35.
Letās keep it going then: We beat Ohio, Miami (FL) beat us, GT beat Miami, BG beat GT. Bowling Green > Alabama
We beat U Mass, who beat Merrimack, who beat Monitor. Although some say it was a draw. Yet they are all dead now. Screw it.
Thusā¦we won The Battle of Hampton Roads.
I had a hard enough time moving from Redskins to RedHawks. Now people are posting that Miami should playing in a NY6? Which name sounds as a better nickname for such a game?
