Taking a step back, when was the last time you actually cared about Miami basketball enough to have your heart broken? Hats off to Travis Steele and this team for restoring the program. The 25 wins will go into the record books, and there will be plenty of good memories from the season. But what Iāll take away is seeing Millett fuller and louder and and entire campus with a renewed sense of belief in what Miami basketball can be.
Letās hope we can can keep this squad together, grow from tonight, and make the Big Dance next season.

Just couldnāt hit our shots the last 5 minutes. Nothing went in. The realist in me doesnāt even expect an NIT offer now. Sadness.
Itās similar. But that was probably Miamiās best shot ever to win a national title in something other than synchro skating. And the pain was compounded by not being at the game (in DC) because my MIL was undergoing cancer treatments.

Itās one thing to screw around on your end, but letting up a fast break for an easy score is an own-goal on par with the St. Pete Bowl ending.
This was a damn fun season, the team played their hearts out and showed a lot to look forward to. But losing an 18-point lead and having such a late-game drought with the lead is gonna haunt us for a while.
