Well, they only cut into the lead by one through the first 5:30.
Yep and we were pretty darn bad in that stretch.
Akron came out with their hair on fire and gave Miami a couple of punches. But the net result of the first five minutes of the half is only plus-one for Akron and a double digit lead for the good guys. They need to play smarter on defense and get a little tighter handle on the ball, but if they can win or tie the next four minutes, then they may get the Zips doubting themselves.

Yeah, Akron is having their ballhandler keep the ball and attack our big on the switch. That’s gotten Tavari going and it’s partially why we’re not rebounding because we’re out of position under the glass.
Interesting that between the 2 games, we’ve played 3 long stretches when the media timeout is delayed and they’ve taken advantage of all of them. We may have to watch that and call timeout so we don’t wear out.
