We go 8-1 after beating Toledo and OU and we are ranked Top 25 and in the hunt for the NY6! Marshall lost and Wyoming taking care of business.
Kent is pretty bad, but not technically a bye for Ohio.
If you squint, itâs full!
Love that pic of an almost full home side at Yager!
If I had my way, Iâd design the stadium seating to look like one giant seat. Even if it was benches or the like that made it up. Then, no matter how many people attended youâd always be able to say âwe filled every seat in the stadium!â
Honestly, the student side is much better. Everything is covered, easier to walk up and down the stands, and no Sherpa required for climbing those stairs like on the home side
Impressive win yesterday. First time in years it looks like we have excellent offense, defense, and special teams. I canât say enough about how good the S/Tâs have been. Keep it rolling!
What i liked about our passing game was it wasnât a giant batch of fly patterns with throw it up and hope it works which is what it seems like sometimes. Brent was 15 for 18 with mostly short and midrange passes. Short passes that werenât all outlets to backs as outlets to the flats. Fun to watch and impressive display.
Itâs obvious we donât have as much ability to stretch the field without Gage in the game. It was nice to see adjustments yesterday.
According to ESPNâs College Football Power Index, we lead the nation in Special Team efficiency.
FPI also has us at #31 in strength of record. Behind only James Madison (16), Wyoming (18), and Air Force (30) among G5 teams.
No votes in the coaches poll this week. Ohio got two, presumably both from Tim Albin.
Offense is 58 and defense is 39 in efficiency as well, both very solid numbers. Our âstrength of resumeâ is 31st overall, 4th among G5 programs and top in the MAC.
Our #1 ST rank to the credit of Martin, new ST Coach Bronkowski, and the individual players, theyâve been on point this whole season. Having Nicholson near-automatic from 50 in (with range to definitely go farther) is an elite weapon for us.
Unfortunately, theres not much keeping fans down, around the immediate area of the stadiumâŚ
This is from USAToday on how bad BGâs game was;
The hounds made their way to Oxford, Ohio this week, where the Bowling Green Falcons took on the Miami RedHawks. In previous years, #MACtion provided thrills with high-scoring, defensively deficient teams who entertained hundreds in the stands and provided entertainment for thousands more when there was nothing else to watch on television during a weeknight.
But Bowling Green failed to provide any sense of enjoyment Saturday as it had just 135 total yards, possessed the ball for only 20:31, and crossed midfield a grand total of one time in a 27-0 loss.
It was Miamiâs first shutout victory in 16 years. But the pups still want hugs from the Bowling Green faithful as they were the only FBS team that did not score a point this week.
So that eliminates CBS Sports Network, since the open slot that day was for Noon.
Itâs on ESPNU per the athletic websites announcement
I think ESPNU on 10/21 all but locks us into the 3:30PM CBSS @ OU on 10/28
