Nice bounce back today at 18-12 NKU. Gave up double digit runs again but won 16-11. Brokemond DHd today and had a career day going 4 for 5 with three RBI. Picked up our 10th win on the season - now 10-25.
Back in the tank. Gave up 13 to Ohio in the series opener and lost 13-10.

Game 1 Saturday was a roller coaster. After giving up 8 runs in the 8th inning in yesterday’s loss, Miami took an 8-3 lead into the 8th today. They gave up 7 runs in the bottom of the 8th to fall behind 10-8 put plated 4 in the 9th and hung on to win 12-10. Alls well that ends well, I guess.
Tied 7-7 at Ohio and heading to 10.

Bobcats get RBI single in the bottom 10 and win 8-7. Ohio takes the series 2-1.

Outrageous. Terrible baseball, even when we win, which ain’t often. And now, will our AD fire a coach whose family has been major contributors to Miami baseball for decades? As I posted previously, this was an issue I feared may become reality when/if Saylor had to fire a Hayden. He took a chance and it has failed miserably.

Your guess is a good as mine. We were very bad last year and horrible this year. It would be best for all if Danny would realize he’s in over his head and just resign.
None of the teams clustered around us at the bottom of the rankings have anywhere near the stature, resources or facilities that Miami has access to except for Dartmouth which normally fields a fairly competitive squad.
The MAC as a whole is pitiful this season. Kent State is tops at 68 and Central Michigan and Ball State are in the top 100. Two more teams are in the 100-200 range and the rest are 223 or below.

Entertaining game tonight vs the Buckeyes. Lost it 12-11. Left the bases loaded in the 8th on a called third strike. Went to the bottom of the 9th down 1 run and took two more called third strikes. Hard to win by outhitting them if you’re doing that and giving up 12 runs to boot.

Big surprise today! RedHawks take game 1 from Kent 12-3. Trailing 4-3,in the bottom of the 9th Tommy Harrison takes Kent’s closer deep to tie it. After a scoreless top of 10, Zaborovsky leads off with a walk off home run to win it 5-4.

Sketchy relief performance by Mastrian today - coming in with a two run lead in the seventh with two outs and runners at first and second. Immediately throwing wildly to second in an errant pick off attempt and putting both runners in scoring position. Both scored after a walk and a base hit. The walk scored, too, and Kent took a one run lead. Nothing across for Kent in the top of 8 but Brokemond tripled and scored on a flair single by Zaborowski to tie it in the bottom of 8.
Mastrian gave up a lead off home run in the top of 9 and Miami went quietly 1/2/3 in the bottom to give Kent the win.
13-29 now but at least we’re playing over .300 baseball for the first time this season.
Big surprise happening right now on Big 10 plus pay per view. Miami up 6-0 at Purdue in what so far is a one hit shutout. Wish I could watch it. Damn money grubbing B1G!

Good deal here. Team has improved from where it started. More work to be done but this is a better trend. Keep it up!
