Here’s the bracket this morning. Marshall and Arkansas State both finished 11-7 in Sun Belt play (as did Coastal, App St, Texas St, and South Alabama). Its amazing.

I was shocked to see how bad Akron’s home attendance figures were. They are awful. Wonder why that team can’t get butts in the seat with a great team in a city of almost 200,000 people (and larger metro area).

Akron is a commuter school and always will be. People living in the wealthier burbs can’t identify with the Akron culture.

4,422 when Akron came to town the highest for OU.
Akron got 4,847 for Kent State at home but every other game is under 2500 with several under 2000.

Both GP and Norlander said in a hypothetical scenario where it’s 2 loss us versus like 15 loss Auburn for the final at large, they would take us in a heartbeat.
I don’t care how tough your schedule is (and Auburn’s OOC was admittedly brutal this year), loss volume has to matter at some point.

OU had 6,404 for Toledo to dominate them in Athens today. Can at least add them to the list of 5k+ MAC attendance games.
