I agree. Legit 4.5 speed. Great arm but also shows a good touch. Exciting qb prospect. I hope he’s good enough to succeed Brett.

I would guess Humphreys ends up 6-4/5 225ish…keeps speed hopefully as he looks fast on tape.

Listening to the show today, it sounded to me like CM would have liked Duncan at DE, but he told the coaches he wanted to play offense. On film he seems like more of a blocking H-back type, which can still be valuable.

Ohio choosing to sign 6 JUCO kids (out of 9 signees) is interesting. Staff obviously going for the quick fix. Fine if it works, but if it doesn’t, it can really set your program back.

Are recruiting violations even a thing anymore? Texas is paying their OLinemen $50k a year just to play? So why focus on Jackson State? They don’t have any money.

More likely to be a sugar high before a program crash - queue Tommy Bowden’s Akron program.
That was basically Akron’s entire model under Bowden during his tenure, we haven’t really done that much under Martin. If this is a sign that he’s making a big push in 2022 and we end up winning big next season then I don’t think it’s the end of the world if we’re slightly lighter on depth in 2024 (which can be mitigated by proper planning, recruiting, and development). It’s when a program depends on JUCOs every year to stay competitive that it’s a major issue.

I believe this is the first class in the Martin era where nearly half the class is homegrown Ohio talent. All but one of the rest are from states that adjoin Ohio. None from Illinois, Georgia or the Carolinas this year. Interesting shift in recruiting demographics.

I am sure we are not finished with this class. Chuck indicated that. With open spots and transfers, we will sign several more. Some will be kids who rolled the dice on a P5 offer which didn’t come. Now, he has to find another school. And, of course, the portal.
I’m not sure if this falls in ‘22 or ‘23. But I’m assuming it would be ‘22 since this is a transfer portal offer.

Isaiah Johnson would be a great pickup. And the Logan kid was a very productive HS player. Good depth with the loss of Pace and Phelps.
Based on his tweets Isaiah Johnson’s other FBS offers include Colorado, Tulane, and UMass (also several FCS offers).
Dartmouth is a great IVY club…would be a good fit.

This kid is a grad transfer with a year of eligibility left. A 4 star coming out of high school who has seen a lot of PT. From the state of Alabama and 6’4 280. Econ major at Stanford. Would be a terrific acquisition!
