Lindgren was a fourth-round NHL Draft pick of Buffalo in 2022, and played five seasons in the Major Junior WHL. After he aged out of juniors, he played 56 games last season for Wheeling in the ECHL, where the defenseman scored 7 goals and 21 points. He also went pointless in seven games in the AHL playing for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Shika starting his first game since the Clark Cup!
Update: his team won in a shootout. The end of regulation was kind of sad because Shika went for a goalie goal and missed way wide and then allowed 2 extra attacker goals which tied the game up.
Wait now, does that mean it’s not too early to look at rankings? Essentially, You’re like The Groundhog looking for his shadow. Punxcaheckificanspellhisname Phil. I use this knowledge to predict if springtime is coming for hockey.
This was kind of a hard watch but they ask about Miami aka “the middle of nowhere Ohio” in the first few questions. I find it hilarious how obsessed with the concept of Skyline chili people are. The music blasting and kids yelling in the background was distracting tho.
“Maybe Gajan gets hurt” is a crazy thing to say about your teammate. Dullmeir doesn’t seem to be super pleased with his backup position but we’ll see what happens next month. IMO he may be the most likely former redhawk to win a national championship this season. He did say he went there for the winning culture.
I just want to add I’m very happy with our goalie room this season!
Schlossman will flat-out admit he’s obsessed with Skyline. He eats at the one in Oxford three times when North Dakota is in town, and he’s super bummed Miami isn’t hosting his men this season.
Fascinating concept that Oxford is in the middle of nowhere when it’s actually a 45 minute commute to downtown Cincinnati. Grand Forks is 4 1/2 hours from Minneapolis and 2 1/2 hours from Winterpeg. Geez!
North burbs in Cincy edging towards Oxford. My last year of school I was married and commuted from Cincy. Once you got off of I-275 and got on SR 27 it was corn and beans and scrub woods all the way.
Suburban sprawl has creeped onwards to Oxford in all directions but still nothing but two lane state and county roads and miles and miles of row crop farmers for a good part of the trip in any direction. 45 minute drive to nearest interstate.
So yea, still pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
Hamilton now has interstate access that connects directly to Fairfield and West Chester. You can jump directly off interstate 75 in West Chester and be in Oxford in 30 minutes. And that’s not to mention the 4-lane expressway (129) that takes you right into downtown Hamilton. Oxford is relatively remote compared to the northern suburbs, but not like some make it out to be. You are 20 minutes from I275 and Colerain township (with 70k population).
Butler County’s growth in general and Hamilton’s economic awakening the last few years have made Oxford feel a bit more connected. If you haven’t seen Main Street on the west side of Hamilton in the last couple years, you should check it out - busy sidewalks on weekends and several new restaurants and bars - all 15 min from Oxford.
