The roster is finally out, so it’s time for a new thread.

Here’s our first look with quotes from Coach Noreen:

Also, Bonkite, can we expect you on the ice for any pro/am fundraising efforts?

No, it’s exactly what we expected. Supposedly the hold-up was because they were making sure everyone was eligible.

Michael Quinn changed his number from 7 to 6 which is interesting

I feel like this should help Miami more due to the strength of schedule weight although someone with more knowledge of the systems would know better

And the removal of the .500 requirement :joy:

Yeah but minimum wins 12

Yeah 12 is still more doable than half the games imo

Especially if you can get over half that in nonconference

Maybe in future years it might help a teeny bit but it won’t matter to us at all this season. Our OOC SOS is abysmal and our in-conference opponents are the same as everyone else’s in the league (duh). There’s simply no pick up in the math for us.

Here’s how McMahon is ranking our OOC opponents - for comparison he has us ranked at 44:

Ferris State (42)
RPI (56)
Lindenwood (55)
RIT (63…out of 63 teams)
Union (39) or Sacred Heart (at least 32)

The GLI teams we’ll face are our only decent opponents and since it’s more likely than not we’ll lose there’s no SOS benefit here either.

Finally, winning games has a much more massive impact on NPI than SOS does and, as we all know, that’s been the challenge lately.

Back to lurking.
