He says a lot of the stuff he usually says at the beginning but I appreciated his viewpoint on the changing college sports landscape and recruitment and strategy. He’s always so optimistic and it’s refreshing to hear someone not complaining and trying to find the positives out of a situation that we can use to help our team. Felt like the host was trying to get him to be negative but he stood his ground.

I’ve seen other college teams fans suggest they bring back players currently in the echl because of the strike…maybe we see shika’s return😂
Quick FutureHawks update:
Timofei Runtso is tops in the entire WHL in rookie defens(c)emen assists (20) and points (26).
He’s 6-2, 18 years old and a media buddy of mine just recently watched him live and said he’s going to be a stud for Miami. Imagine he’ll be in this upcoming fall.

Might be too early (it’s never too early for recruiting talk), but I’d be curious on who you’d expect to be on campus next year. Always tough to tell which guys are next year vs a couple years out

Yeah, I’d like to get back to having FutureHawks stuff on my site, but COVID, then Bergeron shut me out and now everything is in flux annually.
We used to have separate threads for recruits back in the day when MHT was the self-proclaimed Best Damn Mid-Major message board in the country.
Maybe we could at least start a separate prospect thread, since this coaching staff is actually in favor of having a recruiting pool.

Do you run the Future Hawks X account? If so (or if someone else on here runs it), it’s been a great account to follow. I’ve enjoyed having one account to keep up with how everyone in juniors is doing.

Thanks for the info re Future Hawks. Was not aware of its existence.
I do not. It was created fairly recently by a fan/alum.
I think they thought he would be further along at this point. He’s 19 and at 5-feet-9, a 7-6-13 line with Tri-City isn’t what they were hoping for.
Noreen has bigger things in mind. The fact Smith is choosing the CCHA over Miami tells me he knows he wasn’t going to get the ice time he wanted.
