I’m no Petrino fan, but but hot damn he can coach. Team is night and day better under him.
They won’t axe him, they’ll scissor-lift him.
This would never happen at Miami because (a) we aren’t going to fire Chuck nor should we but more importantly (b) the students don’t know who our head football coach is!!

Some enterprising students once wore “Shame on Shane” shirts to protest the Montgomery era to one of his last games.
A Montgomery family member told them it wasn’t very nice.
I saw a variation of “Don’t Tread on me” Gasden flag modified for DT.
I wonder if those same enterprising students did that as well…let me consult my basement college tshirt blanket

Those South Carolina students are asking for the firing of the Offensive Coordinator!!! They are not even focused on the head coach.
You are correct. At Miami most students don’ t know who their head football coach is let alone who the assistants are.
This reminds of the time I was a guest lecturer at a couple of courses at Miami a decade ago and asked how many students knew who Quinten Rollins was. I gave them a hint that he was about to be the highest paid member of that year’s graduating class.
Only one student out of about 50-60 knew who he was even though he had played football and basketball at Miami over the last four years! Truly incredible.

My favorite part of the Brian Kelly firing, besides him being fired, is that the Governor of Louisiana was involved in the discussions today! “Look I don’t care about any damn hurricane coming, we have this Brian Kelly situation to straighten out. LSU keeps losing! Priorities man, priorities!”
The P4 is voluntarily leveling the playing field with the G6 by entering into contracts with this level of buyout and then firing the coaches. Less money to spend because of income transfers to head coaches..
