2024 Season Bowl Games

I don’t really have a problem with religious proselytizing by teams that represent religious institutions. It would seem to be part of their mission.

I strongly feel coaches representing state sponsored programs should temper that tendency, though. I’m looking at you Clemson and Boise State.

Bulls are up 9-0 over the Fighting Pool Boys of Liberty midway through the 2nd qtr.

Was it a flag for unnecessary roughness?

I’m not impressed by Buffalo QB CJ Ogbona. I think he’s probably their projected starter next year even though he’s a grad student. He had two years at a JC before a year at Southeastern Louisiana.

We play Buffalo on the road next season.

It wasn’t. Cannot fathom how.

Bulls leading 26-0 with 12 minutes left. MAC is going to finish 5-2 - percentage points behind the AAC in the Bowl Championship race.

Not bad…not bad at all!

And we didn’t have any real breakout regulars season winners this year…just a lot of 6-8 game winners.

Bowl wins today are not as meaningful (due to the havoc of the portal impact), but I surprisingly found myself almost happier finishing up w that dominating bowl win over a very decent CSU team than the letdown of that “mudhole” Cure Bowl loss after the excitement of the MACC win. I am still enjoying watching the highlights over and over and over!

Thanks for nothing, WMU & BG.

Both with one TD losses. Too bad!

MAC finishes w .714 bowl winning percentage. Only American’s .750 beats us although B10 could get close with a couple more CFP wins. (but eventually they will have at least one more loss as well).

Oh, has been more than a half hour since I may have mentioned that Miami won its bowl game 43-17 in front of crowd of 40K.

Probably the best MAC bowl result as a conference

5 wins is a record

Blowout wins over Colorado st and Liberty

P4 win over Pitt

Win over CUSa champ

And the best dump Thomas Hammock ever had

I’m pretty sure the latter would be stadium clearers.

MAC schedule has not been released yet has it? The pods are no longer a thing. The only guarantee is one rivalry game-ours is OU.

They released a few years of schedules last year but it doesn’t include UMass, so my guess is one game from 8 team each year will be swapped out

From what I have heard the MAC dropped the pods when UMass joined the MAC. Now that NIU is leaving the MAC has not announced what the plan is.

I never saw any announcement that they were dropping the pods.

This deserves its own thread.

Probably will become a discussion item when whatever decision NIU makes comes to the forefront.

They did not make a public announcement. They talked to the schools about it. Again, they did that after UMass joined so who knows what they will do when NIU leaves
