NC beat 14-1 Susquehanna 66-0 last week in the semis. They have 12 FCS/D2 transfers.

Mount Union, Wisconsin Whitewater (Lance Leipold) and more recently North Central have been dominant the past 25 years.
Good thing they’re not playing in the traditional Stagg Bowl venue tonight - Salem, Virginia.
For anyone interested in North Central’s journey. Nice campus, know a few alums who went there.

Very well-played and entertaining.Two competent and well-coached teams that play hard on every down. Very little chirping from either team. Undersized OL but disciplined.

NC looks like they’re wearing UNC Tar Heels uniforms in NC State colors.
My younger son graduated from North Central College in 2017. Nice little school with good academics. Incredible Music Hall where the DuPage symphony plays…made possible by generous donors. We had season tickets when we lived up there.

I’m enjoying this game very much. No arguing to the refs after every play, fairly disciplined & team oriented, this is what college football should look like at every level.

The only time I saw the NCC Coach get hot was when the officials missed an obvious delay of game penalty on Mt. Union in the first half. The announcers were initially clueless as to why the Coach went after the officials in a TO right after it happened.
After a fairly low scoring first half, the score board is getting a workout. Now 34-25 NCC. Seeing chunk plays on both sides…maybe the defenses are tiring.

I watched a lot of D3 NESCAC football when my kid was going to Hamilton. Similar demeanor in that league. Smart and talented athletes. I’m hoping they’ll follow the Ivy’s recent lead and start sending their champion to the playoffs.

Yea it was a fun game to watch. Pretty good talent for non scholarship players, albeit a little smaller and not quite as fast. Still, the QB for NCC threw some nice passes despite a strong wind, and his receivers were also quite good.
