Brewers lose…Reds in first place!

Glad to see it.

Votto first game back was outstanding. It will be interesting to see how Bell juggles the lineup and load management. You have to think CES is in Louisville saying, “WTF do I have to do!”. :grinning:

Reds already up 8-2 over Rockies in the 6th…three honers including one by De La Cruz.

Make that 10 in a row with diaz getting out of bases loaded 9th w a K. 8-6 final.

Another come from behind victory!

Phil Castellini proves he is not the Amazing Kreskin

This sure has been a fun team to watch! Seems like a new star every night.

Is this real? Votto now 2 for 3 with 2 homers? Reds lead 9-7 bottom of 5th

Yeah, he just hit for the cycle, but is he a “once in a hundred years player” like the Reds play-by-play guy just said? Lol.

Well, so far he’s setting records that date back to 1903, so potentially.

He sure is impressive, that’s for sure…power and incredible speed.

What a night…coming back from 5-0 first inning deficit to win 11-10 for 12th straight behind De La Cruz plus Votto’s two homers in front of sellout crowd.

Insanity

Can’t remember the Reds ever doing anything like this.

Joey Votto says the only guy he can think of to compare to Ellie is a young Mickey Mantle. Chris Welch said last night was the best game he has ever seen in Cincinnati.

Let me throw a name out there. The only player to hit over 50 HR and get 20 triples. Willie Mays.

Shouldn’t the kid play a few months before you start putting him up there with some of baseball’s greats?

No one, especially me, a baseball purist, is putting him up there with Mays or Mantle or anyone else. I believe the discussion is he has similar tools, power and speed, to Mays and Mantle. Having the tools is different from long term production with them. Giving me a hammer doesn’t make me a carpenter.

Reds streak was fun and hopefully they can go on another, but it is quite remarkable they could win 12 games in a row with a starting pitching ERA of 5.89, which is third worst in the majors. And now Lively is injured as well.

And Greene and Lodolo out until August. :expressionless:
