Randy enjoys fantasy football!
Sure…
IIRC he started as a volunteer backup PA announcer for a few sports, and it went on from there. (He’s also a longtime R&W Club and Blue Line Club member.)
BG / Ohio game going into extra innings tied at 3. Loser will be eliminated.
Miami to play CMU 20 to 30 minutes after this game (I would assume).
BG sends Bobcats home in 10
Innings.
So how does double-elimination work? If we win today, we await the winner of BG/CMU? If we win that, we’re MAC champs, and if we lose, we play again in a winner-take-all?
Yep. If we win today we play the winner of BG-CMU. We keep playing until all but one team has two losses.
If Miami wins this game they will play tomorrow. If they lose this game they will play BG yet tonight.
5:40 PM is start time.
Brianna Pratt starting for Miami.
Must be a serious injury to Courtney. Looks like she’s done. Too damned bad!
2-1 win in 8 innings! 2 chances to win it all tomorrow.
Nice win. Now let’s go dancing!
Miami will face BG on Saturday. I understand softball is different than baseball, but Gottshall has started all three of the Falcon’s tournament games, including pitching 17 innings in their two wins today. Is this typical? Can we expect her to start Game 1 Saturday?
Probably.
Briana Pratt has really stepped up to the #1 spot after Courtney’s injury. Keep it going!
Has there been an official announcement on Vierstra’s status/injury?
At the conclusion of the OU/BG game, Steve Baker mentioned that Vierstra had injured her back a few weeks earlier and that her availability was uncertain.
Miami was 65 in RPI following the games on Thursday. After winning yesterday, they’re now down to 69. Such is life in the MAC.
Eh, RPI doesn’t matter with a win.
