Won 4-2 today…finish out regular season at CMU this Saturday / Sunday.

I believe Miami will host the MAC Tournament.

That would be great if Miami does host. Normally, it’s at Firestone stadium in Akron. I checked the MAC site. It doesn’t look too promising on news from the MAC

Honestly doesn’t really matter since they weren’t getting an at-large anyway. Would like a win tomorrow to have at least a little momentum heading into the MAC Tournament.

Big area of concern: Courtney Vierstra - today’s birthday girl - left the first game of the Ball State series with an injury. She didn’t pitch again until game one of the CMU series and she got lit up in her 2.2 innings before coming out of the game. I think it’s going to be a real struggle if we don’t have her at full strength in the MAC tournament. And it would be very tough going into an NCAA Regional without her being healthy. Anybody have any inside information about her injury and/or her prospects of returning healthy for this weekend?

First game is Thursday 5/12 against BG at 3:30 PM. Top 4 teams make the conference tournament and it is double elimination.

Miami wins! 4-1 final. #3 CMU beat #2 OU 7-1 this afternoon. We’ll play the Chips tomorrow at 3:30.

This might be a dumb question, but who is Randy Hollowell? How is he the color commentator for every sport? I just looked him up to see what his deal is and apparently he works in the university IT department. Did he just volunteer one day and someone said “Sure”?
