Very interesting indeed!
Indeed it isā¦to be fair, Lester inherited a good team from PJ, but Fleck took some of the better players with him to Minnesota as I recall. Chuck does have one MAC title, but his first three years after Treadwell are excluded in the apples to apples comparison with Lesterās record. In the first three years Chuck went 11-26 but hard to hold that against him. Since then Lester still had a slightly better winning percentage as noted above.
Anyone know the buyout number? Iām also interested to see what their new HCās contract looks like once hired.
According to article in WMU student paper a couple years back when Lester got an extension, he was making $800K per year with a buyout of $500K if exercised before Feb 2023 (when it would go down to $400K).
Wonder where Lester ends up at? I know a place that could use a new offensive mindā¦
More than 10% of FBS jobs are open or have opened and closed since Week 0, including the job at UAB where legendary coach Bill Clark retired because of a bad back.
UNLV fires Marcus Arroyo after three years.
Hugh Freeze back in the SEC @ Auburn!
I may be 2-223 but I want it noted in my year end posting review I called it. (Newsflash: as did everyone else in hillbilly āMurica so I guess not that special for meā¦)
A low-rent, not-as-successful Gus Malzahn who harasses rape victims in his downtime. Great job, Auburn.
Looks like weāll have a much busier carousel in the Rust Belt this season. Last year the only openings in the Northern US between the Appalachians and Rockies were Notre Dame and Akron, this year we already have Nebraska, Wisconsin, UC, and WMU.
Texas A&M OC Darrell Dickey is now available.
Favorite Hugh Freeze scandal?
- Repeatedly calling an escort service on a work phone
- Calling an escort service while in a different state from the service (you do the math)
- Cyberbullying a sexual assault victim who was suing his university
- Forcing an 8th grade girl to take her shirt off in front of him
- Running one of the most notorious pay to play recruiting scandals in CFB history
- Publicly blaming the prior coach after his recruiting violations were caught
- Illegally using his position as a public employee to promote his religion
- Directing his HS players to a university in exchange for a job at the university
- Paddling underage girls with nobody else in the room
- Taking a sportswashing job for an infamous university with mountains of its own scandals

Why isnāt the Miami HC position on this list ?
EMU could join the list. There ought to be some P5 interest in Chris Creighton.
Maybe Colorado if Neon doesnāt take it.
He really is a role model and leader of young men, isnāt he?
OUās Tim Albin is a candidate @ Tulsa apparently- he is originally from Oklahoma ![]()
Letter from UAB team to their universityās president. Sounds like our encounter with them might get very interesting.
