Which sports betting app is the best?

Easy $100. Just watch for those ludicrous specials. Might have been 1 yard passing.

FanDuel has a similar promo tomorrow.

IBonds.

Browns game.

More later.

Well, screw BET MGM. I tried to verify who I am 5 times and it kicked me out. Apparently, I don’t exist.

Happy New Year to me!

Similar issue with Ceasars and Pointsbet. Signed up for accounts to get the promo and it when I try to log in I don’t have an account. MGM and Fanduel were the only ones that I could get the promo to work on. Barstool had the promotion, I placed the bet and then the bet and promotion disappeared.

BET MGM is still after me and they want me to upload my driver’s license or a bill of some sort. Anyone else dealing with this?

There are several online sites that don’t require that type of ID. I don’t think bet MGM is one of them though.

This landscape is honestly a bit like the Wild West. Proceed with caution.

It is. But as I just mentioned to Professor…If you utilize ONLY promos…It’s pretty hard not to break even, or come out ahead. But yea…the temptation is there, including online slots etc…

I think my biggest issue (and people who really know tech on this forum can speak to it better) is that given how lucrative the landscape is, a lot of parties rush to market and there are often serious security and customer experience lapses on their platforms. Across the board, I hear bad stories about people not getting their money, or the platform is buggy and the pick doesn’t appear. Or, no customer support. It will all wash out as consolidation happens but given many of these sites run on the same innate engine, it’s shockingly fast now for someone to hang up a shingle and be in the betting business. If you go with the brand names you should be ok for the most part. If you end up burned, I’ll buy you a brew at the horse track.

Yeah, i had to do that with BetMGM as well

Well, had my first decent bet win in Ohio. Gave my wife my referral code, which gave me a free $200 bet through draftkings. Put that bet on Bills first drive to end in a field goal attempt at +400, ended up with $800.

More near-freebies for Bengals game today. Avoid a shutout and get $25-$50. Two major betting services with the offer.

Quick story I almost forgot about - I actually received an email from one of the companies that’s been listed a few times in this thread ~3 months ago. They wanted to be able to run some ads on the website in exchange for money. Apparently they felt like the posters on MHT were likely to be active participants in mobile sports betting. Never did reply, but was interesting to see what strategies different brands are using to attract customers.

Micro targeting is a big tactic they use. That’s why they often find affiliate sites (think sports social media personas aka Mathew Berry) and even though they may only have a couple hundred/thousand members, it’s a better way to reach highly qualified targeting. They pay those sites x money and those sites mention the brand in posts podcasts etc with custom sign up offers.

I can’t imagine where they’d get that idea.

I am on my last night in Nevada ( This is my 33rd night, 20 have been comped and the other 13 cost me a little less than a thousand dollars ). I mostly play video poker but I also bet some sports and watch games in the sports book or on my I- pad. I am up a little over $400 for the trip. My goal is always to earn as many comped rooms and free meals as possible. Of course I am retired and get a monthly check from the teachers retirement system so this is just a cheap and enjoyable vacation for me. My question for those of you who are doing the legal sports gambling is what are the odds compared to what they are out here. My fear is that just like the casino gambling in the Midwest, because the state takes a big cut that the odds on sports gambling and the pay tables on video poker are not as good as I get out here in Nevada.

For example, Tuesday night I bet $10 each on three MAC basketball games. I had Ball State +2 at Ohio, betting $10 to win 9.10. I had Kent -4 vsToledo, betting 10 to win 9.10, and I took Miami on the moneyline to win the game vs Buffalo, betting $10 to win $13.50. So I lost the Ball State game and won the Kent and Miami games. I had bet $30 total and I got back $42.50. So If I had made the same $10 bets in Ohio, how much less would I have won. What is the standard payout for a $10 bet?

For CBB, the standards odds for spread and O/U bets are -110. So a $10 bet would pay out $9.09. Those can shift some based on which way money is going, but they pretty much average at -110 when they do.

FYI I won 9.54 on a 5 bet on Kent (DraftKings). You’re on vacation, you can do the math.

-110 is still the standard juice across the board for straight action. There is too much competition for books to deviate from that.

However, when you start betting props and in-game action (and the books smell blood), they juice can increase to -120 or -125. Not that different than the mobile providers in Nevada, except that the Nevada books have gone from the only game in town 4.5 years ago to the most restrictive books in the country as it relates to action offered.

Thanks for the replies. It appears that the minus 110 is the same as out here. That is good.
