Toledo at Miami at 7:00 Tuesday in Millet

Ball State beats EMU on a dunk with 2.8 seconds on the clock in OT.

Fat Hill dunked on Godslove Nwabude for the winning basket.

That second line is a hell of a sentence.

I’ve discovered that MATH is the first thing to go in old age, not your memory. My apologies!

Memory IS the first thing to go.

I forget what the second thing is.

Just getting to the box now and hot damn it’s all kinds of great. First, Kam. All the haters. What do they think now? He had 40 against a really good team. It’s a bit like playing with the house money with him as he’s got a ceiling that like Peter and prolly 4 more of our guys is sky high, but still. It’s been a while. Then I see solid numbers everywhere across the score. Reece plays a great defensive game and Evan has his usual correct high point solid other number. I’m just so grateful we are here. No, not perfect but we might have a chance to get there. Stay healthy and work hard. Maybe with a little luck we can. Go far in the show.

Ps. I see you glue!!! 14 rebounds. Who are you Rodman!!!

I’m glad you asked, digitalhawk. Craft holds the Miami record with 10 this past December. So he
now owns the first and second most in Miami history (since the 3 point line)

Box score has 2,661.

  1. That’s huge, since Woolfolk and Potter are hurting. His rebounding will be key.

Toledo is a bottom 30 defensive efficiency team per Kenpom and that really showed itself in the 1st half. It’s been awhile since Craft was allowed to catch the ball cleanly and not have to rush his shot. Those first 4 or 5 shots were in perfect rhythm, straight up and down, and in the bottom of the net. Once that happened, he was going to be tough to stop.

Ipsaro was really good again tonight. He took control of the tempo of the game in the 2nd half, or at least as much as possible given the refs controlled the 2nd half. Elmer was a stud on the glass. Potter gave us strong minutes. We played really hard in the 1st half and I think that rattled Toledo a bit.

If we see these guys again, we need to be ready for a lot of high screen, whether is pick and roll, shuffle cuts, or back door, UCLA type cuts. They had great success with that or just isolating their perimeter players and letting them go 1-onj-1 or kicking it to the weak side. We didn’t guard very well in the 2nd half.

A great win. But let’s not be satisfied. This will be a challenging road double. We blew out Western in the 1st meeting and they just gave up 105 to Akron. Hopefully we’re watching the weather, there’s snow in the forecast for Friday night into Saturday.

Damn. I think you’re supposed to file a flight path with the FAA for that sort of thing.

Dunk of the year IMO.

And I never saw a single snow flake all the way to Oxford

Just the three referees! Boom!

Such a great turnaround year and yet it would seem other than a run through the MAC tournament, we have no path to an post-season tournament.

Great win. Why was Craft T’d up in the 2nd half, right after he hit a 3?
