Today is the day

Miami at Oklahoma at 3:00 on ESPN+. Oklahoma is opening a new stadium today. They have a 67 game home field winning streak.

I still remember the derogatory comments some of their fans posted about Miami’s “unChristianlike fans” after last year’s game in Oxford. Break their freaking hearts!

Looks like we play Louisiana at 6 today, too.

What pray tell is a “Christian-like” fan?

Who knows. But last year it would have been Miami fans who didn’t argue balls and strike calls that favored Oklahoma. Apparently doing that is un-Christian according to at least a few Sooner fans.

It’s Oklahoma for Christ’s sake.

The reason Texas doesn’t slide into the Gulf of Mexico is because Oklahoma sucks.

“I saw a 900-foot Jesus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.”

Sam Kinison had a great bit about that.

What a start!

3-0 Redhawks after one. Back to Back homers by Spade and Blaska.

3-1 after one. Oklahoma loaded the bases with nobody out but Addy Jarvis got the next 3, one run scoring on a SF.

He probably saw this guy at the Tulsa County Expo Center

Still 3-1 after 2. Both teams stranded 2 runners in the second

Still 3-1 after 3. Both teams had one baserunner in the third. #1 Oklahoma is 14-0, we are 9-2 but lead the nation in HR’s. Both of our losses were to top 25 teams.

It would be nice if these dumb ass announcers (play and play and color analyst) would actually do their job instead droning on about their new stadium with the OU AD.

We had two 2 out walks in the top of the 4th and they changed pitchers. Allie Cumming smashed a hard grounder over third but a diving stop and she stepped on third.

Oklahoma had runners on second and third with nobody out in the 4th but got only 1 run. Miami up 3-2 after 4.

We go out quickly 1-2-3 in the 5th, although Holly Blaska hit one to the warning track in CF.

with one out in the bottom of the 5th, Brito hits a solo homer to tie it up 3-3. Pitching change, Hitchcock in for Jarvis.

Jarvis is a 6th year transfer from Illinois, Hitchcock is a transfer from Rutgers.
