Tickets for UC game

3 weeks to go before the UC game & it appears there are plenty of tickets for sale. Maybe Miami fans waiting to see how we do against NW. Also wondering how many tickets were given to UC to sell . Per UC ticket website, no tickets are available for the Miami game.

I just bought 7 this week.

Im ashamed to say it, but I’ll be chilling at home watching it on TV and avoiding the traffic in town. Looking forward to the OU game though.

Still a ton of tix left. Really hoped the last Bell game in Oxford would sell out. Better be a huge walk-up.

If we had beaten NU, there would be more interest. The game should be marketed that this is the last time UC comes to Oxford

I am not quite surprised that tickets aren’t selling well. $50 for a ticket is simply too much in Oxford. After parking, popcorn, hot dogs, etc., I will end up paying $200 for my family of 3. Again, in Oxford, that is a lot of money.

When I saw that price I LMFAO. Must be trying to catch people who’ve never been to Oxford…

Most of the $50 tix are sold. It’s the $43 and under tix primarily available.
I’ll bet most on here spend close to $200 on a decent dinner & drinks with their spouse (1-2hrs). $50 tix for 4 hrs of pageantry, entertainment, fellowship and a rivalry really doesn’t seem out of line at all.
Troy, App St, Jax St, S. Alabama, Ark St, Tx St, etc. must be in trouble because they all have premium seating and regular seats in areas and with alumni bases much less affluent than MU/Oxford.

After watching Miami fan trends for 60 years, I have identified an attendance predictor that seems to be tried and true. We don’t buy tickets in advance to home games. We wait to see a weather forecast. If it looks like it might rain, we don’t show up.

Laughable for those of us who sat through all four quarters of the Curricane Bowl!

Agree - and I think what’s happened is MU has never capitalized on their success. People drive to other (farther) outposts, pay more for a similar to inferior product with much less disposable income. There are FB fans in OH - they’re not all in the south.
Our other facilities were much needed but to ignore rev gen opportunities and chose not to take a chance and try to grow the base is sad. Top 20 for Ultra Rich alums ~2500 - I’m sure many in SW OH/midwest who would support a suite or club seats but sitting on crappy bleachers doesn’t appeal to those who’ve enjoyed a higher end experience. They therefore don’t think much of MU athletics - “if you don’t care then I don’t care” mentality.

Couldn’t agree more with this post! So frustrating! Need a change in attitude to get more fans

FSB is one of the best business schools in the country. The students could definitely come up with a better marketing plan and ways to increase fan engagement and improve in game experience.

When I was at FSB we did a case study for the Dayton Dragons, same could be done with our Football team…

If Instagram is to be believed this is “almost sold out”. That could mean anything, though between last year’s victory and the publicity of this being the last Victory Bell game in Oxford you would think that we’ll exceed 2017 butts-in-the-seats as long as weather is decent.

If you go to the miami website and check tickets you can see the availability on the “home” side.

Hopefully students actually show up. They did for the basketball game in 2021, hopefully its the same or better for football

There are quite of tickets left if the ticket website is correct. Just click on each section & you will see how many seats are available.

It’s the home opener and we only lost to a Big 10 team by 7 on the road so the buzz hasn’t been killed. It will be the fist opportunity to go to a game for the 4,500 strong First Year class.

Interesting data on FCS attendance and town size.

Interestingly, Georgetown needs a larger stadium.

Lucky us!

It looks like the remnants from the disturbance now in the western Gulf will reach Oxford Friday night and Saturday. 60% chance of rain on game day.

A 60% chance of rain probably is an indicator of a 40% empty Yager Stadium. Too bad. I go from Curricane Bowl to a Bearicane Bell game.

My red water resistant poncho was laughable in Orlando. I’ll see if it works in Oxford.
