The closest metric to what you’re looking for would probably be purchasing power adjusted disposable income. It takes into account geographic cost of living and differences between things like public vs private health care, but I don’t believe it includes stuff like whether you need to have a car or not.
I think inflation post Covid hit Europe harder than it hit us. I remember reading about 20 per cent inflation in some European countries while I think we peaked at 8 per cent.
From Whitehouse.gov, for the G7 countries, US topped at about 10%, while UK, Germany and Italy all peaked higher. I’m sure there were other European countries that had even higher inflation.
Comparing the US with ANY European country is asinine. However, if Russia and Belarus weren’t 100 miles from my location, I’d move to Poland. The dollar is killing it and Warsaw is a fantastic city.
