Another USHL guy. 1-2-3 in nine games for Waterloo.

Been hoping we would get this guy!
Holy crap.
Bonk - please do a recruting story
Big USHL defenseman. Eliteprospects lists him at 6’5" 205lbs.
Does anyone know what’s up with Brian Silver? Played the first game, has been a scratch the rest and it looks like he has disappeared from the roster
I don’t have time right now. I’m still rewriting a Cisek feature I wanted to get out last month.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a straight up 404 on the website before
Oxford has been afflicted with multiple power outages last evening and through the nighttime. Hopefully (for me), this has all been resolved.
Bowling Green is 5-3 with two of those losses coming to #13 Ohio State. Ohio State was garbage last year and picked to finish last in the B10 this year, yet they’re undefeated and ranked. I don’t understand how those two schools can have rebuilding years and then bounce back, but Miami can’t.
tl;dr Everybody…take a chill pill.
BUGS has beaten teams they should beat and has been beaten by better teams. They’re a .500 team at best which is likely where they would have landed last year without all the extracurricular activities. I’m not convinced they’re significantly improved though their new coach appears to be the real deal. If (when) this CHL thing goes through, watch out. BUGS is a top-10/15 destination for these kids. Until then, they’re a 3rd quartile pairwise team which is where they traditionally are.
The Buckeyes sweep of Wisconsin looked impressive but it now looks like the Badgers will finish last in the B1G. OSU’s other wins are against bottom feeders. I think the jury is still out on these guys, get back to me in a month.
Remember that while Bergeron recruited solid Miami men who have represented the University with Love and Honor, their talent level wasn’t up to NCHC standards. This year is nothing more than a write-off, but give Noreen some time. He’s doing the right things and comparing where we are with the other state schools a month into the season doesn’t mean much.
Back to lurking.
Looks like some of our players are taking advantage of NIL merch-
Signed 11 today, all from the USHL!
Where does our class rank nationally?
Finally our feature on Cisek:
Hard to get an accurate number since commitments have changed significantly and extend beyond who’s been signed, but neutralzone puts Miami at #16 nationally and #4 in the NCHC. That’s a big step up from #39 last year. Miami is currently #9 for next year as well.
