Lots of transfers…an impressive group.

I don’t remember Amariyun Knighten announcing. When he transferred from NIU to Indiana in 2025 he was a 4 star transfer on 247

Zhaileyn Scott is a new name. Two sacks as a rs fr at North Texas, isn’t even announced as being in the portal on 247.

Nice to see Kam Wilson is back, must have gotten a medical rs last year. Also JJ Hammonds got a rs. Going into last year I was expected huge minutes for both.

Quentin Simmons jr. is also a new name. Had big offers out of hs and redshirted at UK, but Stoops brought him up in the summer a few times as someone they liked before he got sidelined with an injury IIRC.

Carl Jenkins jr.. is also a new name at wr. Had 3 catches for 30 yards as a frosh at UCF. A ton of p5 offers out of hs.

Here is the Spring Roster:

The only expected transfer I don’t see is Ben Minich but he might be joining later or they’re still adding people.

Eight from the 2026 recruiting class have enrolled early and will participate in Spring practice.

Chancellor Sparks - RB

Isaiah Harris - DL

Justen Hodge - WR

William Pressley - WR

Scoop Smith - WR

London Vickroy - DL

Easton Jointer - DB

Ryan Stolarski - LB

the transfer TEs from Iowa (Grant Leeper) and Indiana (Brody Kosin) that joined last year are no longer on the roster.

Who/how many of transfers were 4 star?

When you look at this roster, we now have 5 DL who are 290 pounds or more for interior DL. 3 of those are between 307 and 310 including the transfer from Purdue. And that doesn’t include somewhat lighter but productive guys like Brach Rice, Roosevelt Andrews and William Goodvine. Finally should have some interior DL size to better control the line. And we have a plethora of WR bodies. 17 WR on this roster. Roster a little thin at QB and RB, but talent is there. I like this roster on paper and in theory. One RB I wish we still had was Tito Glass.

I haven’t had a chance to stick my neck out for Justen Hodge elsewhere - so I’ll do it now. No connection to him, but his HS tape was freaking awesome. Probably not physically ready year one, but I think there’s a lot there. Had MSU, WVU, Purdue offers.

When I was in school, we had a backfield of Bob, Rob, Randy and Steve.

On Scott - looks like he only played in 5 games before missing the rest of season due to injury. Appears to have contributed as a freshman, so that’s a really nice get.

Two other WRs (Will Pressley and Tristan Reed) in the 2026 class, according to 24/7 Sports, are the 4th and 7th highest rated recruits in program history. Needless to say, Miami is loaded at the WR position.

Reed is interesting because he has a big frame but played qb his last two years, so it’ll be interesting to see how quickly he develops. Huge upside.

Isaiah Harris and Tomarion Steward are going to be my guys in this class. Not sure if we’ll be able to use him because of his size but Scoop Smith has the most fun highlight tape I’ve seen since Wan’dale Robinson

Very deep at LB. Will be interesting if some players swing as a bit of a hybrid S/LB.

I think O-Line will be a massive strength. And I’m encouraged by size of interior defenders on D-Line.

Not worried about RB or WR.

Most concerned about QB, defensive backfield, and depth.

On paper, likely best roster ever at MU.

CBus Hawk - agree - is Glass gone for sure ? If yes where did he go?

Looks like he hasn’t committed anywhere yet

If there is any chance to bring Glass back, we should. There is definitely a place for him in the RB room even with the couple portal RB. He brings a different dynamic.

#15 was Sunbelt preseason defensive player of the year last season. Dude can play and linebacker will be a strength if the defensive line can help keep them clean.
