Press conference here:
I hope the students start supporting this team when classes resume. They deserve it! Letâs pack Millett!
Based on our schedule if we keep up the momentum the next few weeks we need to make a big push when we host OU on Saturday 2/1. Win that and hopefully the fans come back for the less interesting opponents down the home stretch, but we all know Miamiâs track record for actually winning games with big, lively crowds.
Yeah looks like only 1 more home game before the bulk of students return. That Tuesday night vs EMU, a day after classes resume, will be a tough get, but the OU game better be packed.
Speaking of 31 point halftime leads, the SMU womenâs team ended up losing by 13 to Pitt after leading at the half by 31. Got outscored 28-0 in the 3rd quarter.
I was pretty upset about this live and decided to rewatch the game. This 3 wasnât off in time. It was so not off, the ball was still in his palm when the clock expired - not even on his fingertips. I didnât even try to get it frame-perfect with the clock expiring.
It doesnât matter in a blow out like this, but a 3pt play instead of a turnover might matter against Kent State. The MAC officiating has been horrid the first few games.
I always think this view is interesting. Miami went from committing the second least fouls in the non-conference, to the most in-conference.
Kent is committing over 2 less fouls per game and drawing almost 3 more. OU also with a good sized swing.
To be clear, I donât think a fix is in, but I do think MAC officials struggle to keep up with pace of play. With WMU and Miami both running, the officials were consistently out of position.
Yeah it appeared to me it was worse than the one they overturned. Steele seemed rather perturbed at the lack of a review. Became a 3-pt play for WMU and a foul on Elmer iirc.
