91-71 final. Like I said, hard to stay focused when up that big at half, but that 2nd half wasn’t great. Still, a 20-point conference win is always a good thing
Heard he had injury Thursday practice. Knee and ankle but according to couple folks at game it should only be a week. At first feared bad knee injury but tests were clear. Good news.

I hope they behaved themselves. Would be great if they came out to that old Baja Boys classic (who let the dogs out). Makes me tear up every time I hear it.
Just catching up on the end as I had to go take care of some bidness on the golf course. I didn’t take care of bidness well, but that’s not important. What is important is the box score. Woolfork making some good Swiss Army knife noise it seems. Looks like he fouled out? The two guards played steady looking at the stats. I shoot better 3’s than Western and I have been told I look like C3PO when I shoot. They made 2 the entire game across all players? Feeble. Good to see pretty much our entire roster get in.

Idea: Because he started as a walk-on, you get to walk on the court at Millett in his honor at half time and attempt a half court shot. If it goes in you get money. And of course every fan gets a hand fan with his face on it.

What I really liked about today was how attentive we were, especially in the 1st half. Western had been playing better and are a great rebounding team. We took them out of their offensive rhythm pretty quickly. We should’ve had 3 shot clock violations in the 1st half. And we were really quick to the ball whether it be on passes against our pressure, deflections, or rebounds. That was one of our better team rebounding performances in awhile.
I’m not going to lose sleep over the 2nd half. The officiating wasn’t helping us, Western decided to play harder in the last 6-8 minutes and not earlier, which was strange. That 1st half was so good. Let’s come out with that same intensity and attentiveness at what will likely be a dead atmosphere in DeKalb. We need to bring it and make it happen. One game at a time, no looking ahead.

I see Ball State also won handily (91-69) over BG yesterday…that was a good win on the road we had over them as well this past week.
