59-14 good guys. We even up on the season.
42-7.
48-3…defense needs some redemption
38-17 Hope much larger win but not confident.
Fear UC will be another beat down
45-10 Miami
I’ll stick with the prediction I made in the Pitt thread: 31-13 Miami
They need to earn my confidence back.
35-10.
Expecting McComb to have big game.
HC lost to two FCS by 35-10 each. Hopefully we can put more points on the board than 35.
I don’t expect Martin to run up the score.
37 - 9
55-3
31-24 Miami
31-3 Miami
33-6 Miami
38-3 Hawks—set the table for USucks.
With HC being a small FCS school, maybe some of our 2nd string would be starters at HC! Wonder if their coach has made that part of his pregame talk to the press and team. You know…pump 'em up.
We’ll work out a few kinks but not want to show too much with UC coming up next. Not that there will be that much more added for UC. They’re just an another OOC preseason game you know.
He didnt say 2nd string. He said guys that dont even play in the games for Pitt would start for us. Then we went out and proved him right
We coulda, woulda, shoulda beat Northern Illinois last year but our D was much, much bettah. I think Miami could basically name the score tomorrow but will be Midwest friendly to their New England visitors: 41-17.
I’m guessing around 31-10 good guys win but don’t look too good.
College Football 27 Prediction:
Holy Cross 14
Miami 27
This was not the best performance by the virtual RedHawks but they did what they needed to do down the stretch. The Crusaders marched right down the field on the first possession and scored on 3rd down to take a 7-0 lead. It remained that way until the second when Rodney Nelson (18 carried, 166 yards) went untouched for the 51-yard score. But Holy Cross regained the lead in the final minute of the half to take the 14-7 lead into the locker room.
The Crusaders had a 4th and 2 from the Miami 24 early in the 3rd. Instead of trying the 41-yard field goal, they decided to go for it. Hopefully CJ Young is okay after taking that cleat to the face last week… because he intercepted the 4th down pass and ran it back to midfield. From that point on, Miami’s D stuffed Holy Cross.
Miami tied it right after the interception with a 19 yard strike from David McComb to Maleek Huggins. A Lynel Billups-Williams TD catch in the 4th gave the ‘Hawks their first lead of the day. Kellen McLaughlin provided insurance with a couple of field goals down the stretch after missing two attempts earlier in the game. Let’s hope the real game isn’t this close.
McComb finished 20/28 for 248 yards, 2 TDs and an interception. Nelson was POTG with the 166 yards and the long score. Damarion Witten was the leading receiver with 82 yards. Witten and Scoop Smith are basically cheat codes in this game.
And perhaps the biggest news, following yesterday’s game update, Yager Stadium FINALLY shows that Miami won the MAC in 2023. It took EA Sports long enough to figure out that detail, considering it could have been included when the franchise returned more than two years ago.
HC 7 7 0 0
MU 0 7 7 13
EA Chuck has been working out.
I will not be happy if that is how tomorrow goes. These guys lost 35-10 both fcs games they played
