South Carolina declined an invitation.
We should get Rutgers spot then or S. Carolinas
Iowa declined
Wake Forest declined
The CBI bracket is out and only 12 teams accepted
If enough teams decline, can we accept a bid and automatically take the trophy via several forfeits?
Supposedly NIT will be officially announced at 9:30 on social media
Still would love to see us in the NIT. If offered, do you guys think that there is a chance that we would turn it down? I find that hard to believe.
P.S. whatâs the deal w the Crown Tourney in Vegas? When do they announce their field?
MHT OGs remember the absurdity of tracking the 2008 CBI announcements. Just sayinâ.
Who gives a bleep about the CBI anyway? If you donât get into the NCAA tournament, the only other one to seriously consider is the NIT.
Not even enough teams care to pay to fill up that bracket, apparently.
=>I just want this season not to end.
That said, this team has cashed in the chips and called it a season.
Well, Ryan Pedon, apparently.
And @muhawk is right. That thread was one of the great moments of comedy in MHT history.
=>It was a legendary night.
My stomach was legitimately sore from laughing so much that night. Kudos to the person/people who kept screwing with the tournamentâs Wikipedia page that night.
So, Todd, no chance we accept an NIT offer? Gosh, I find that hard to believe.
Agreed.
This team was fun and we did everything to earn itâŚ
Brutal
Pitt and lsu supposedly declined
Indiana is declining all post season tournaments.
The portal opening a week from tomorrow probably influences these decisions. Some of these underachieving majors are somewhere between worried that half their roster will leave in the middle of a second-tier tournament and wanting to use their coachesâ time to recruit the portal rather than continue this season.
