It’s the Euphoria Emporium!

Is the next announcement tomorrow perhaps the Chuck extension? It may be.

Well said Young Jedi. Well said.

I’m guessing the stench had an effect on ND and helped weaken the Irish.

Do you think Miami will be be a top 25 team next year yes or no if yes then your with me I never said they would win for sure or be a favorite I bet football I would not take anything less then 10 points on that game but that’s a ball game point blank period and no easy cupcake for ND.

Muhawk lol “the stench”. ……Wrong thread but after quite a while had a chance to chat with a 70’s alumni player. He hates Marshall far more than OU…

That and there really aren’t any open jobs that are a good fit?

Well, if the team takes care of business and approaches anything close to what it could potentially achieve, I think it’s safe to say there will be job options for CM one year from now.

Not this year tho. Which is why we need a top 3 mac extension with a massive buyout

We have given Stephon Hall a DB from Pitt an offer, he so far has an offer from us, Arkansas state, and Uconn

I never said that. Actually, he said he wanted to be the starter and play in an offense designed for a running QB, plus there were family reasons.

He got his chance because Kenny Tracy got injured at Ball State.

Something that just occurred to me is that the 12 team playoff rules don’t guarantee playoff spots to the power conference champs and one G5 champ; they guarantee playoff spots to the 6 highest ranked conference champions. I just looked and they still haven’t changed that rule despite the implosion of the PAC 12. I don’t know if there’s a deadline to make a change. Given that the PAC 12 will technically still exist as a two team league, I don’t know for sure that they’d change the rule, even if there’s an avenue to do so.

If Oregon St and Washington St both have mediocre seasons (which seems plausible given their current mass exodus of players and coaches), there could be a very real pathway for two G5 teams to get autobids to the playoff.

Lighten up Francis. I was obviously joking.

I’ve had a theory over the past three years - since the end of the COVID season - the the kids MAC schools are recruiting from out of state are more likely to enter the portal. There are several reasons for this besides playing time: distance from home and family, unfamiliarity with the college state’s culture, unavailability of particular foods, climate, cost to family to attend games and a lack of any traditional family affinity to the out of state college, its traditions and it’s fan base.

I think my theory is being born out on this very first day of the open portal.

Of the 12 MAC teams, 69 players entered the portal today. 57 of them are from out of state.

The lesson here is that we are more likely to lose our out of state recruits to the portal than kids we recruit from in state.

Don’t academy applicants need a Congressional Recommendation?

With what will be a heavy Senior class next year, and from what we saw this year, there is absolutely no reason a team goal to reach the playoff next season shouldn’t be attainable.

And, if by chance we do win the bowl game, we may start next year as a ranked team. Currently #23 in USA Today

Sure would be great to finish up ranked if we can get by Appy, but since we are 30th in the AP poll, it is probably a bit of a long shot to move up 5 spots… what’s a bit unusual this year is that there are a number of G5 teams with excellent records (Liberty, SMU, Tulane, Toledo, JMU, etc.), making it tough for us to crack the final poll. We just gotta win and hope a number of teams in the #20-25 spots (and also a few in #26-29 ahead of us) lose.
